Can't I be professional nihilist?

My family is exhausting me. Cousin had wedding recently, quite show off event.

Anyways, won't go into details, but I realized once again how messed up and dysfunctional my family is. It seems that having a working relationship is impossible. So why try?

(my mom claims reason to start a family is because world is never gonna recover from economic crisis and there's so many wars, disasters and eastern bloc is rotten with mafia and corruption, so one needs their nest... I say why bring more people into such world).

Watching Al Jazeera and occasionaly Czech news (to catch up with what is up with the scene... so I can claim to hate it)... and it's hard to keep idealism... I need to be rewritting my thesis but at the point I don't know how to write conclusions without "DIAF you ****ing mother****ers".

I sorta hope Mayans were right. It would take care of lots of things, wouldn't it?

I don't think I am depressed though... I am just nihilist. I find it hard to find some aim in life, but then again... that's how 99% of Westies are, right?

I am going through pix of Ukraine to ensure myself humanity rocks, but all the pho-tos of war memorials make me grin cynicaly rather then make me sappy and idealist about history and humanity... and pretty places? I always suspected pretty places are a form of distraction.

Sorry for le rant... but if you know about open position of profesional nihilist, I am the best candidate. I seen a lot and cynically laughed at it all.

it took me too long to realize it, but the reason YOU (not me ) should breed, is to honor those who survived to make YOU POSSIBLE. Trace backwards and think about each little great grandma and grampa - what they had to go thru, to make sure YOU got to THIS moment. Don't think about just mom and dad. I didn't know my grandparents except for one grandfather who I rarely saw and had little understanding of until I was in my mid-20's. And being first generation italian-american, the old country was just some weird magical place that I also didn't comprehend. so - a nihilist? nobody is going to pay you to do nothing, to do negative, to foster entropy. Maybe to reclaim, reuse, recycle. I saw a thing on tv here yesterday where a company is tearing down houses in Detroit, piece by piece, and selling the wood and metal to companies who then make art or furniture out of it.

Human life may have no meaning, just a fluke of the universe.

Or... it may not even really exist at all right.

And a lot of humans are jerks...

but some are totally beautiful and amazing...

and humans do make really good pizza....

and peaches are delicious...

i don't know are 99% of westies that way? Maybe. Maybe there is no meaning, no reason, no aim, I have no idea. But what I do like about being granted a life in a human body is that I have the ability to create meaning for myself. It doesn't really matter if that meaning I create holds any value to anyone else.

My grandma always told me that life is what you make it, and I think that's pretty true. You can be a nihilist and I bet if you tried hard enough you get paid for it haha.

I brought kids into this world, I don't think that was immoral, nor is it not too, that's a pretty personal choice. And thankfully an option not a requirement.

This thread made me actually realize that i am kinda... snob... I won't eat bad chocolate and I don't crave it. And I never really cared for sex either. I mean, it's cool, but too much effort... heh

I did not know Poland produced chocolate; Belgium, Switzerland... but Poland?

well, they don't. They produce disgusting brown something they call chocolate and they plague Europe with it (I doubt some of their "chocolate" even has cocoa in it :O , I really do).

If I may further switch the topic, what is your best loved brand of chocolate? I don't mean the brown stuff you despise, but the real thing.

I love Lindt. And Ukrainian Korona, but you cannot get that outside of Ukraine/Russia, I think. At least I never seen it in the stores here.
