Saw this, found it very beautiful, got me thinking. Easier said than done. I don't if other bp'ers are like this but for me, most of my thoughts are feelings, strong feeling - I can't tell them apart. Much easier to change thoughts than to change feelings... for me. I really like Wayne Dyer too...

Peace

It's good. I like it. It seems like an invitation to start being more serious in my mindful meditation practice...

It is so hard sometimes to just be. To let your mind accept things in their raw form, before things are muddled with our own preconceptions or stereotypes. If I could live by doing this all the time then surely peace would follow?

I like Wayne Dyer very much, too, Blue. He makes real sense to me and is a brilliant
man.

Thanks for this.

I bet that thing on her neck is a web site stamp, so that people can't use the image and say they created it. I think it does say "my rewired mind."

It's a true statement and it is very hard. I think some people are better at this than others. And I think certain situations are easier than others, too.

I get that. It gets hard to differentiate thoughts and feelings. It's like my brain believes my emotions and my emotions become my reality. But my reality is always changing. I feel like I am two people a lot of the time. When I am well, this doesn't happen. As for Wayne Dyer; he's the best. Before my last (and worst) bout with bp in years, his teachings were essential to 3 years of real happiness and contentment for the first time since I was a small child.

Sometimes I think true peace comes from closing your eyes
Cuz when I close my eyes it's just me and the whole world disappears along with its problems
As the Beatles said. Living is easy with eyes closes...

Just don't drive like that!

Exactly, Dan. And what we think We should be, should have been. What we expect other to be, to have been also.
Acceptance of the here and now. Being mindful of our thoughts and feelings as they float or race through our mind.

easier said than done, blue. It's so much easier to just be pissed and non accepting, right? I mean, it does take effort to do this, and sometimes I just don't have it in me. Then I feel like such a fool for talking inspirational and such cuz when I get like this, it is the farthest thing from my mind!

Being pissed and un-accepting takes so much more effort though I think. I think we just don't notice because it's something we are used too. But it's pretty draining on our mind and souls. Being mindful and at peace only takes a lot of effort till we start to retrain ourselves, and it starts to become easier and easier.

I have decided I need to hang this saying in every room of my house. And have it on little cards to pass out to people.

You know, it would be a perfect business card sized card. You just hand it to someone when they are going on and on about how things "should be done" or how someone "should be thinking" or what "should have happened." You just hand it to them and smile and walk away.

I don't know if I'm really that brave. Maybe.

Her hair is almost as fantastic as the message!! hehe

i love the card idea, no doubt you will get some tossed back at you, the hard thing about these messages is that people have to be ready and open to hearing them. And that is where I get stuck, how do you help on that end? I know some people personally who I would love to help, but they are very closed off.

Maybe just drop the card in their purse when they aren't looking, to find later like divine intervention?

I don't know how to help the closed off people, either.

I had purple hair. And aqua blue. And fire engine red. And yellow. And orange. And pink. And burgundy! And black with white stripes....

And knee high striped socks, every color of the rainbow with converse all stars.
