I think I got most of that out of my system. I went for lunch with my bf today and he said he was ready to call my pdoc, because he has not seen me that bad or not like myself in such a long time. Thing is today I feel pretty good. I feel like myself, connected.

So today, I am getting my stuff done, and that feels good. I also took a little walk, and the sun is shining. I havent felt well for a while, but I do feel well right now. Despite that my face might say other wise. The awesome swelling of the eyes that spreads down the cheek from crying for a few days. I think my tears actually burnt my skin, its all dry and stings.

So I think since my bf has hockey tonight, and I have no other excuss I will indulge myself and work on my halloween costume. I have been collecting stuff to make it with for a while, but just having been feeling it, which wasn't a good feeling since costume making is something that I love to do and usually get lost in. should have been a sign.

Think it's all gonna be ok. I wasn't even convinced of that myself really, but it is. The feeling of realizing it is, makes a pretty big difference.

Thanks DH.

Not sure what to call it. I have a lot of ideas for a headdress, I still cannot find antlers, but I found some fake ones that are used for hunting, they look real. Got the suggestion from people at pc. And I have some white rabbit fur I found, that will be sort of like a stole on the headress, just got to find some realisic eyes, or make some. Feathers and this awesome vintage brooch I found of a large silver leaf with rectangular white stones on it.

I got a bunch of leather and deer skin along with other fabric to make a bra like top and skirt. Off white cheese cloth that I am going to wrap around my legs and back of feet, and strap on with leather straps I have collected. Then I have a bunch of metal parts and other things I have found that I want to incorporate. I have this really thick white yarn that sort of gets smaller and larger, that I will make a long wig with and add some other objects to the hair. Still working on ideas for makeup.

Ohh I also found some large peices of bark of the poplar trees down in the woods that I want to add in. No idea what to call it, maybe you can guys can help me think of something.

Thank you

Ahh well didn't go as well as I planned, I got a bit done but pretty slow and a bit unmotivated. I was just looking at some pictures of old costumes I made. I thought you guys would like this, it was from a Mary Poppins costume I made a few years ago. I made the head out of a decorative pear the kind that has the really tiny coloured but transparent beads on it.

This costume also had a jane and michael banks in the carpet bag, well dead, but it was a different take on Mary... but I had managed to take a huge chunk out of my finger cutting up old dolls, I didn't keep the part and got in crap from the dr because it could have been sewed back on. sorry gross too much info... just ironic considering what i had done to the dolls.

Feeling much much better

Blue you say wood nymph and all I hear is wood/ and nympho hehe.

How about sexy woodland fairy? Throw on a pair of wings made of feathers, maybe peacock feathers. Oooohhh pretty. Then post a pic of it if you can. I am jealous of your costume, sounds fantastic.

Feeling much much better

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Hmmm... maybe your costume is a spriggan. A spriggan is kind of like a wood nymph but they also can live in cities or houses. They're tricksters. Or another way to look at it is there are sprites which are more air spirits and aetheral, then there are spriggans which are earth spirits and more corporeal (spelled wrong probably, haha).

Thanks for the names.. i am lost on that, doesn't really matter either except when people ask you, and then you kinda gotta say something. Some friends we have in a diff city have a really big halloween party every year, they go all out so it's pretty fun. Gives me something to look forward to in the transition from fall to winter which I need or I will get depressed. I notice that having something to look forward to or not having it is a big thing to me and saves me from getting too down sometimes.

Annnnnd I found Antlers today, can't believe it, in the thrift store, plus the roving mohair I needed for the hair, how weird, not either are easy things to find. Somehow maybe the universe knew that would help pick me up cause I was feeling pretty down last night. Weird how that happens sometimes. Ya.... I get excited easy.

Halloween is also the anniversary of when I got married to my ex, which is now an icky memory when it does pop up. So I guess that doesn't help.
