So.. it started off with my (just like normal) talking to my "Family coach" [from school] on IM. ,, we were talking about my grades and how I have been having trouble focusing. ----long story short---- I ended up telling her about possibly having bipolar disorder a struggling with depression. , she then continued to tell me that my school has guidance counslers, and psychologists. (which i did not know). ---long story short--- depending on if it costs anything or not , i might start talking to my school psychologist. (who of course cant like prescribe medicine or anything) but it's a start.
My biggest concern is if this is all online or in person. (i absouletly HATE talking to people in person.. [people that i don't know i mean])

good idea, bad idea?

Sounds like a good idea to me. In fact, sounds like a very good idea.

Do you also have social anxiety? A psychologist can also help with that.

You could use skype just for the instant messaging without a web cam.

I am so happy for you, this amazing! It is going to be very helpful to you if you do end up talking to someone.

I think it's a great idea. You are still physically in a "school district". The district has a responsibility to help get you an evaluation. They have a responsibility to provide you an education, and these moods/issues are hugely interfering. They should have someone from the district to come meet with you in person. They will say they don't provide treatment, but they need to provide a psycho-educational evaluation. This is just to the best of my knowledge, I'm not sure about the details of your area.

Macs have a built-in camera near the middle of the monitor, on top. You probably have a PC. Mac users usually know that they have a Mac.

A psycho-educational evaluation would assess your learning style, check for learning disabilities. Nothing psycho or weird, don't worry.
