I have a really big exam tomorrow, which could impact my academic career. I should have been studying today, but I have pretty much slept and eaten the day away.

Well, not so much slept, but just laid in bed, motionless.

I feel very depressed, I am worried about the exam but can't bring myself to study, and I feel like I can't get un-depressed.

I have an appointment with my psychiatrist Monday. Hopefully, I can get a med adjustment. But ... I feel so powerless.

Studying for an exam the day before it is fruitless (I used to work in exam prep). You already know what you know. Studying today is not going to change anything. You should not berate yourself for not studying today. You need to go outside, have some fresh air, exercise if you can, drink tons of liquid to keep your mental acuity up - those things you need to do. Sleeping and eating are not bad so do not berate yourself for that either. The best thing for you is to be physically active today so that you sleep well the night before the test. The quality of sleep the night before the test is THE most important thing for you.

And good luck! Sleep and luck are the two things you need the most.

I'm sure you'll do we'll like hammy said sleep and exercise are very important just as studying but if you already know the information don't fret over it to much just do your best that's all we can do anyhow.
