I know money is a big issue for the hospital. Try to get some rest, it's going to be okay.

Yes - the pdocs often call in physio's to loosen up the muscles. Especially when you are withdrawing, your muscles get very tense.
It's relaxation and allows you to heal emotionally and not keep the negative energies held in. It's a wholistic approach. The physio has done some acupuncture to loosen my muscles.

Have a good nite.
My meds are kicking In. I am currently on
500mg Epilim AM and PM (Sodium Valproate)
150mg Wellbutrin in AM I think
200mg Seroquel at night.
I'm being weaned off the Dipazepam, which was for the withdrawals.

Seeing my T daily has been good, but I'm still finding it difficult to get in touch with my emotions.
I read her a part of what I had journaled. We have now come to the conclusion that before every session I'll write down what emotions im feeling. It's a great start.

Hopefully getting discharged tomorrow
Gotta run - I am so exhausted, drugs kicking in

Seroquel can leave you feeling drugged in the morning. My pdoc put me on it after I went through a trauma 8 years ago because I couldn't sleep for the nightmares....I ended up on 600mg at night, a very high dose just so I could sleep.....but couldn't function the next day either......I was a mess....either sleep & be non-functional or not sleep & be non-functional......but I didn't have to work.

Just beware that seroquel can react that way & hopefully a lower dose will be all that is necessary for you.

Glad the hospital stay went well & they were able to try some new meds for you......take it easy getting back into daily functioning.....don't push it....& hopefully things will be good.

Thank you. I didn't go to work at all today and yesterday worked 6 hours.

I also hope these meds work

Sorry to hear you're in a position where you need hospital. I've only been out for 1 week after 15 days in and half wishing I could pass over all control like I did in there. Although there was no Internet access at all...absolute NIGHTMARE!

I am feeling drowsy, but I'm sure it'll pass.
I am feeling flat, but at least to depressed.

Thanks for all your support

that doesn't surprise me.....seroquel is good at giving that drowsy feeling....hopefully you will get through that....it was definitely one of the effects that seroquel can cause.......I didn't have to function, so it didn't matter & for me I was desperate for sleep.

Glad you are able to take the time off work to get yourself back to a functioning state before trying to do work full time.

Thanks Eskie.
I am a little worried about being back @ work next Tues, but my boss is fairly understanding.
Can I expect this drowsiness to abate? I have been having lunch time snoozes, which is not an option when I'm at work.

I sometimes really miss the hospital - the structure and the fact that we are all fighting similar battles.

I hope your experience is better!
I accidentally overdosed on Ativan once and ended up in the ER, in restraints even. I was admitted to psychiatry, but, with the help of my podc, was able to get the certificates cancelled. I hate that two certificates are enough to keep someone for one month though. The unit podc originally wanted to keep me that long.

Hi Blackpup.
I worked 9-6 on Thursday, and on Friday I decided to rather just take it easy. I'll take things one day at a time.
Still feeling flat, but better than being depressed

It is so tempting to do what we normally would do in the short term in getting back to work to normal hours; however, easing back in can be really beneficial for the long run, especially when adjusting to meds. I like how you said about taking things a moment at a time. Please take good care, your well being is too precious and you deserve no less. Hang in there and will continue to be thinking about you, sending positive vibes your way meanwhile! (((((Sugahorse))))))

I sometimes wish I could be back in the hospital.

Thanks Miss Laura.
Monday was a public holiday, so I wasn't at work. It's now 11:15AM and I'm hoping I can sit this one out.
I still have the shakes and feel a bit zombie-fied, which are the 2 issues that are bothering me

Hey there,

Awww I hope the zombie look and the shakes go away soon. Is it all caused by the meds?
