I go back to work this morning in an hour, and I'm so nervous, I feel like I'm going to be sick. It's been almost 6 months that I've been off, jumping into 12 hour shifts. I'm finally feeling better again, and I hope this doesn't throw it off.

Thinking about quitting smoking too. I need to, and it's about time. Baby steps, though. Starting with not smoking at work. We are working 8 hours all week, so I think I can manage that. I guess we'll see.

Not thrilled to be going back to work after the night I had last night. Even taking my Seroquel, I was waking up constantly and having nightmares about over sleeping, and being late to work, and one I even dreamt that I showed up for work with no socks and had to leave and go to Mexico to get some. Go figure, right?

Oh well, need to go to work, money doesn't grow on trees.

yup ... baby steps, thats how i do it... trying to live in the moment not in past and not in future....

smoking is not as bad as drinking... alcohol is downer and depressant... at first you feel excited relaxed and then sleepy. i have stopped drinking for months now... though i still havent stopped smoking... but best luck to you

Thanks, I figure going back to work is the best time. It will keep me distracted having to learn how to operate a new line. It's the times I am not at work that are going to be the hardest, but I think I'm finally ready. I thought about quitting completely cold turkey, but that tends to make me really manicy, so maybe the baby steps will minimize that. I hope.

Good luck!!! I think you can do it, just keep trying.

Good advice on staying out of the past or future, just staying here right now. I hope it remains getting better for you too. Getting back to work will probably be a little hard just go easy. I went back to work in the fall after 7 years off, it was actually harder than I thought it would be. But I am adjusting. Baby steps, be gentle.

Of course your socks were in Mexico haha where eles would they be?? Oh that is funny, dreams are so weird. But sorry you had stress dreams sounds like it. Hopefully that will be the last of that for a while.

I hope your day at work goes great!!

I know that when I feel that way it's like an autopilot takes over for the day and I get into a panic to get back home. I sure hope that you are doing better than I do about it. I know for me, I need to get into 'work mode', and that takes a lot of practice to do, to turn that on. But when I am successful at doing it, the day goes pretty good.

I hope you can find your own 'work mode' soon.

Thanks everyone! The first day back was okay. I was a bit lost, because they are training everyone who already works in the area on the new equipment that's been installed, and I'm not even familiar with the old equipment. I kept up okay for the most part. They are doing a quality run Friday so everyone can try out the new equipment, so I'll probably do a lot of standing around, but that's okay. I am glad to be back at work. I ran out of nothing to do at home.
