How do you act normal when your almost exploding? I feel crazy good right now and just want to jump around and be silly but my family judges me for it.

They point out how childish Im being and make me feel embarrassed, and they wonder why I have social phobia. Im good at holding it in but Im ready to go wild and jump around, maybe ill just do it and see what happens.

Any advice on how to spend some of this extra energy? I am glad I dont have a credit card right now I want to buy so much stuff right now, things I wanted for some time now but I cant which is good. lol I cant seem to stay off this forum for more than 5 min.

Confused jumbled rant over.

Typing it out here can be a good thing. Post away every 4 minutes if you need to. Jump around in your room, listen to whatever music works for you right now, Run around the block? Hopefully one day your family will understand that its okay for you to have a hyper day sometimes, sure feels better than to depressed unable to motivate yourself. Not every mood has to be because of " Bipolar" Sometimes you just feel like dancing.

Get one of them, of your family to participate in your extra energy. Take this as an experiment. Tell the human, if the human loves you, can he or she do something out of himself just for a moment or herself and participate in the thrill of your life? See if you can learn persuasion. If you fail, try using your higher intelligent to come up with a better way. Learning human interaction is crucial to survival.

I hear ya a hyper day is not always bp but this has been coming on for some time. I have been looking forward to it. And I wish my family was like that they never listen to me and if I want to do anything with them its like whats wrong with you they are so judgmental. I would ask them to be goofy with me but they would never go for that, especially not y dad. I just want to go on itunes and load up. but I have no way to do that which sucks cause I could really rock out right now.

You need human interaction. You need to get just get one for starter. Now you have so much energy. If your family loves you, you need to figure a way to do it. Don't be fearful of failure. This is your need. Try something lest extreme to them. Start slow. Try to do something with them that they like for starter and learn. You need that experience in the future.

Jumping sounds fun and harmless enough, go for it! They want to see you happy right? Get them to buy you a jumpy house and I will come play too, one with a slide lol. Those things are so fun.
Thanks for this!

Me too! Today I could've jogged the 25 miles home, I felt so good. I've been ramping up a bit for the past couple days, but now I've got all this energy and I want to stay up all night. Can't do it---gotta be responsible and take my pills so I can go to work in the morning.

Don't forget, Clinte, that maybe seeing you in a great mood is just what everyone wants to see. they all see the depression, and they see the struggle... so it might make sense that they also see the relief and the excitement come back! Just monitor it, but let them in on the good stuff too!
Thanks for this!

Clinte, the spiritual exercises of Ignatious Loyola have been a wonderful help for me
in listening to my thoughts and trying to keep things calm inside. Loyola talks about
the two emotions of "desolation" and "consolation" and how we are directing our
thinking. It's all and "inside job" that is done to determine feeling tone.

I recommend it as a way to control emotions rather than acting out. It's hard to
do, but worth it for me because it worked.

They're available online for copying to your files if you wish to refer to Loyola's
way of handling his feelings.

Ok thanks genetic Ill look into that. I hold my emotions in so much though that I need to fire off at some point. And dan you may be right. But I just wanna be me without being judged and questioned all the time.

I understand not wanting to be judged or questioned. Maybe you could find really positive ways to show your good spirits. Maybe take up jogging or something energetic to get the engergy out, and maybe a creative hobby to get the mind going like drawing or sculpting or music or something.

That's a good idea I could pick up my guitar again and learn how to play it this time. I used to be ok at playing but maye I could get good at it. And I need to build a model too.

Those are both great things to be doing with extra energy. Plus if you haven't played guitare in a long time, your family will hear it and it will ease their hearts to hear you play. The sound of your guitar will become the sound of you not being depressed. No one would judge you for that!

I agree it would e a nice change for them and give me something to do. I'm also gonna try and fix my truck I wrecked it about a year ago so I'm gonna do what I can before taking it to the paint shop.

You will feel good doing the things you enjoy again.

I'll warn you it comes and goes. Like my writing. Sometimes I can write for hours. Other times (like now) I'm just kind of floating around wanting to write but no ideas. Then other times I can't even imagine writing at all.
