It's okay Clint. You have a lot of feelings to work through.

Just know, I don't see you any differently than before. You're still Clint to me!

Truly, it doesn't matter if you like guys or girls. What matters is you find a soul that makes you happy.

Good Luck!

I know people say that but for me it's shameful that I like guys and girls.

hey Clinte...

please read this...it's remarkably important!

here is my take on sexuality!...

okay...society is a big bunch of humans ....society is as old as it ever was when the first time about 3 humans got together...cos?

beyond 1 human is not lonely no more...and add another and suddenly?

...chit chat...ooh!...hehe..ooooh now we gotta talk socialise.

...oooh!...do they like me will they like me..

all humans are idiots at heart!....superduper marvelous intellectual wonder****s! totally unbeatable I would hate to be an animal....like a squirrel or something!

...but I digress

the social structure of humans is dynamic...!

what I mean is...it's always in motion...like a permanent flux!

I'm going the real long way about telling you it's ok what you are and where your feelings are...

and ...according to my futuristic brain?

...someday soon...the word 'gay'...it will not exist!

see this human evolution take place as a global entity it's incredible just how long it takes even now...

forever your mate Clinte ...and forever bewildered...

you aint gay...you are you...

love is love

My daughter told me she was attracted to women and that she is Lesbian. I let her know that I love her unconditionally What makes her heart sing and what makes her feel passion, is all that is important. Clinte I admire you and I can appreciate how it must have felt to acknowledge these as your true feelings. Everything will fall into place.
warm thoughts.

Hey Clinte! I hope you´re doing well.

I´m 22 and gay. I don´t have a good relationship with my parents, but for other reasons. Just wanted to tell you that it doesn´t really matter what your parents believe or what they say is right. What matters is that you know there is absolutely nothing wrong with who you are, or with the shame you´re feeling (we´ve all felt shame for being gay or bi), and that you give yourself a chance to find someone you love who loves you back. Man or woman is just a matter of taste... although I don´t get how anyone can not like men.

Have you been to the LGBTQ forum here?
Thanks for this!

Hugs to you. My daughters both have gay best friends and I couldn't love them more. I agree with Secretum - find a friend who you are pretty sure is supportive before you come out to your parents. I'll share what I've learned from them. One had super supportive parents who knew way before he came to grips and told them, and one had a really rough time with his parents. He found ready acceptance here.

If your fears are realized and your parents to react as you wish, it might help to keep in mind how long it's taken you to come to terms with your sexuality. With time, they are at least somewhat likely to come around.

I'd also encourage you to go out and watch some of the videos on the It Gets Better Project site or take the book that Dan Savage and his partner Terry (who started that campaign and wrote a book about it) wrote out of your library.

Good luck - you've got a double dose of challenge, so i hope you find comfort and some good information on this site.

i'm very proud of you Clint

my older son found out about my ex-gf and was making fun of me the other day. "mom munches carpet!" (little brat) i didn't admit nor deny, i like my privacy about my sexuality. he's 17 but it's so none of his business... i suppose if i chose a life partner woman, which could still happen, then i'd tell him because it would become a family thing.

follow your own path and believe in yourself, you are you and have nothing to be ashamed of! feel your feelings as you need, but there is nothing wrong with being gay or straight or bi or totally confused about who you are. it's part of your life experience. i'm glad you opened up to us here. i'd like to see you find love and happiness and not worry about coming out to your p's right now, that can happen when you're ready. it's your right to tell them or not tell them.

Welcome to the fold, Clint. You are now a part of a large family: the gay community. Where you are always loved and accepted just for who you are. And we are awesome!
