my daughter had a pencillion reaction at age 2, so my dct said no pencillion, it could be a severe reaction, we put in all spectrum computers, i knew, my ex new it, elizabeth new it, my mom new it, wll i ex took eliz to the er last night when ask if she was allergic to any meds he said no, despite my daughter speaking up and saying yes pencellion, and he said no your not. his girlfriend gave it to her at school around 10 this morning, she texted me about 1045 telling me she couldnt breathe, i rushed her to er, thank god it was a mild reaction, she could of died. It was all because he wanted to show me i was wrongabout her being allergic to it. This is our relationship between him and I, he is making my bipolar and depression going crazy, i am falling apart sad!!!!!

Hi,
I'm really sorry this happened to ur daughter and u. I'm glad she's ok. Are there no repercussion for ur ex? As a safety precaution u can get ur daughter a medic alert bracelet. Lauren's Hope carried really pretty ones. Also does the nurse at ur daughter's school know she's allergic. It should be in her file.

Oh my God, sprik, that's really scary! How old is your ex? 8, perchance? What a total idiot. He needs someone (maybe not you, I don't know) to give him a long, hard talk about parental responsibilities. Whether he remember she was allergic or not is not the issue here (although obviously an issue as he should have remembered), the issue is that he didn't even call you or anyone else to check. Frivolousness is not a trait of the good parent.

So sorry about that ((((((((Sprik))))))))
Wonder if your ex knows he sounds guilty of attempted murder (atleast to me)
I mean...... yes he could have forgotten, but your daughter rectified him!
What an idiotic childish douche!
Thanks for this!

I am so, so glad that she's okay.

If he did this on purpose to "prove you wrong," then what other danger could he put her in? You need to consider doing something to limit his time with her if he's going to endanger his daughter for the sake of mind games wtih you....

I am so sorry for your frightening experience and I am so glad your daughter is ok!:

How irresponsible of your ex !

Just as an aside do you and the school have an epinephrine pen on hand for emergencies ? For kids and adults with allergies they can be life saving. As a former Emergency Medical Tech I have seen this first hand.

That's over the top. Maybe he has headupyourownass syndrome? Good for your daughter for speaking up being so young. That's a sign your doing something right. I have 3 daughters, I can imagine your terror. I have many divorced friends whose ex's do stupid stuff out of spite. Like posting pics on Facebook with their 2yr old in a booster carseat that they are obviously too young and small for. Or pics of their dairy allergic kid eating ice cream and pizza even tho the kiddo breaks out with eczema every time they have it. And the worst - taking their nonvaccinated child tons diff Ped and getting them tons of shots even though both parents came to the decision not to vaccinate while they were together. Total BS. ((((((hugs)))))

If your X knew that she is allergic to penicillin and denied it before the emergency room doctors, you should have a no contact order served him from the police.

That could have caused her death. And what was his girlfriend doing giving her
a penicillin shot at 10:45 A.M. at school? I didn't think anyone in a school system was authorized to give an injection to a young student without parental authority. I'd question that with the principal of the school, if I were you.

Make sure the school knows your daughter is allergic to penicillin. And make sure she understands to ask what a medication is before anyone ever tries to give her another one.

I'm just angry enough about your being put through this that I'd see a lawyer if it had happened to my child.

A doctor told me years ago that since I had a suspected sensitivity to penicillin, I should never take it again as long as I lived.

Erythromycin is a better choice and many of us who can't take penicillin are able to take that.

You've just been spared a very dangerous situation, in my view.
