I am so tired of feeling this sad, I am tired of everything getting to me. I am tired of spending hours crying about nothing really. I just tired.... I am so ready to just give up

Hi IJM-
Just wanted to lend a little support and let you know you are not alone! I get to feeling that way too but I try to just let it happen and then it passes. Conversely if I get too worried about the sadness and try to fight it, it seems to last longer. Anyone else out there notice that? You are in a good place here @ PC there are a lot of super nice people & I have found already that it helps so much to know I am not alone & neither are you!

Take care & hope things get better soon!
Thanks for this!

I do a technique like pixies saying. When I'm depressed I try to really feel it, I even watch depressing movies. May sound crazy which I am... But I feel like it's a wave coming whether I like it or not. So I think it'll pass quicker if I feel it. Plus I can't really pretend its not here when depression comes to town.

Can you think of anything that would help you feel better or less stuck?

Hang in there, a new mood is just around the corner.
Thanks for this!

I do the same. Sad music, movies, stories. Whatever. Get the sad out. It might not fix me but it allows an outlet so it doesn't become overwhelming to me.

I tend to feel a bit better after singing sad songs.

I went through two and a half months at the start of the year when I was overwhelmed with grief and emptiness. I lost almost 20 lbs, couldn't go to work, most days I'd nothing--didn't read, watch TV, talk to anyone, even listen to music. Both my cats had died. I wasn't suicidal, I was ... Nothing. Numb. Empty. I had a poster that I hung in my bedroom where I could see it from my bed:
So Ready to give up!!!
I sat with the feelings, or lack of feelings. Day after day. Gradually the feelings of life returned and I didn't feel empty any more.
I was fortunate that my situation allowed me to take the time I needed. It was a healthy way to deal with the pain and recovery. As much as you can, ItsJustMe, I'd say stay with your feelings & let the be as long as they need to be. That way, when they leave, chances are they'll stay gone longer.
Take best care.
Roadie

Just read this article today
I can relate and though I have no words of wisdom I will say though that Lithium is supposed to be an amazing drug for Bipolar. So give it some time. I hope you feel better soon.
