I just took my morning meds at 1:30pm. so a few minutes ago. I told.my dad it's strange that even though I keep forgetting about my meds I feel better than I have in a while. SO NOW HE THINKS ALL MY PROBLEMS ARE FREAKING SCHOOL RELATED!! I'm seriously about to flip my s***! I was fine before but now I'm probably gonna flip out and go on a tirade!

Why? You're placing too much reliance on your dad's attitude when you know, after seeing a psychiatrist, what the problem is for you.

I would suggest that you place all your meds in a cabinet and label them for A.M. and P.M. Each morning first thing, take the A.M. meds, and at night before you go to bed, let the last thing you do is take the nighttime medications. It's a habit that you need to acquire. Remembering to take
them is helped so much by doing that, and you need to remain stable in a schedule of med-taking.

Let things said wash over you like water over a duck's back. Remember, he's waterproof!

Take care.

I do the same as Genetic descripted, except I set recurring reminders on my phone (w/ alarms). Mine are set for 8 am, 1:30 pm and 8pm.

Also I keep a copy of the instruction/warning sheet (one for each med). Lithium states if I miss one dose and its close to time to take my next dose, skip it. The instruction sheets should always cover miss dosage info.

In a perfect world everyone would understand and be compassionate and loving. Well of course that is so far from that.

Take your meds in your room , set your cell phone and take then as scheduled. Whether your father ever realized you have a medical condition isn't really the issue. You have to decide if and when to take your meds , find a T and learn ways to decrease your off the chart em.. Is it easy to ignore remarks like that from a loved one ? Nope. But sometimes you just have stop beating a dead horse and realize you are in control in your life and what you need.

Thanks. I still need him to make the appointment, though. Uggh. I'm still angry. Just without a purpose now... This needs to stop. I got so angry with my dad earlier that I almost cussed him out and actually started crying.

So yeah. So long stability. It was nice while it lasted...

Why must you wait for him to make an appointment? You have been up and down for weeks now. You are old enough to make calls to find a T and /or a Pdoc.

I have no idea how to deal with insurance. And I'd need someone to drive me.
