I never know what the results of my mood will be. Right now I am in a constant state of dread for any upcoming event, even if I know it will probably have a good outcome. Right now I am dreading dinner this evening. I am dreading work tomorrow, and I am dreading dinner with a friend tomorrow evening. I even dread getting on the internet and buying tickets to a concert-why? My sister and her adult daughter want to go with my daughter and me, and I dread the thought of spending a full day with them. My sister is medicated for schizophrenia. She's fine, but I don't like talking about dx's with her.
Just last week, instead of this feeling, I was experiencing feelings of having to get the task at hand over with so I could move on. I was in a state of negative anticipation. I think all of this is why I want to sit and do nothing, but I am trying to follow the advice of my t. Bluemountains |

Okay, made it through dinner-cooking for homeless guests at my church. It was a great experience. One little two year old loved giving hugs and kisses. My daughter painted fingernails and toenails, and the little girls loved it!
Now to conquer my next dread, work tomorrow. This is a valid one because my students only have two weeks left of elementary school. |

We got some new next door neighbors a couple of weeks ago and I saw their garage open, so I wouldn't go out until the car pulled out. Thanks, Blue! |

I never knew others had this 'dreadful anticipation' thing going on. I am dreading spending the day with my son, the long drive...even though I love him very much. It makes no sence but I want it over with so I can stay safe in my comfort zone. I dread future social engagements with my sister in law and her family, I dread the late afternoon. I'm a morning person and always feel normal and energetic and stable until around 3pm. I dread two phone calls I have to make today. It's so silly but it's real.
It sounds like you all are jumping through these self imposed hurdles. And I am proud of you too. It gives me encouragement to jump across my own. Good to know I'm not the only one. ![]() |
