I'm on 1350 mg lithium, 1500 mg Depakote, 600 mg Seroquel, and 6 mg Risperdal. I had gastric bypass surgery 3 years ago so my doses need to be higher to reach therapeutic blood levels. I also take 10 mg of Celexa during prolonged depressive episodes. I have bipolar 1 disorder with psychotic features. Despite some long and intense hospitalizations, I have a great career and when I'm in "normal time". I do pretty well. Bye the way, I adore my psychiatrist of 18 years. He's the guy who's literally saved my life more times than I care to count. I owe him the fact that I have a future.

My GP suggested seroquel but I would rather leave that one alone for now... the weight gain and major sleepiness are not all that acceptable to me! (I prefer to take pills in the morning as it's when things are consistent for me)
I actually take lamictal morning and night. Really seems to be working for me.

I just recently come off of Lithium 450mg per day (my choice) and I still fill fine. I have back problems and I can't take anything with lithium to reduce inflammation or relive pain. I have also been on lamictal 100mg per day for a little while now. Seem to be doing ok with dropping lithium. Just hope pdoc will be ok with it, she did want to try dropping some of my starter meds, but when she first mentioned it I about freaked out .
