NW means Northwest, meaning the NW U.S., a very special and beautiful place I might be living. 2013 is when I joined.
I am female... And for one brief moment in time a man I was very fond of called me his baby girl & it made me feel so special I wanted to capture that feeling forever. It doesn't matter how old you are, you can still be somebody's girl...

...it's always good to re-identify with our names

well firstly I really like monkeys...they are very clever and clever enough to copy us humans, this is why explorers called them 'apes'...
I also feel like I am clever but not clever enough to completely copy regular human behaviour... I feel like I am pretending all the time. Not only that!... I know for certain I have two distinct sides, one up, the other down but either way I just ape my way through life... hence dubblemonkey and it needs two b's for effect.
but that's not all...
I have a fascination with astronaut monkeys... the very first monkey astronaut was Ham...he went into orbit and came back down alive...
the second monkey astronaut was Enos...he went around the Earth twice and came back down alive.

so it's how I relate my bipolar episodes and rapid cycling I guess.
I go into orbit like a monkey still pretending like I know what I am doing.?
...and there is still always two of me

it's also interesting that the monkeys were not given names until they got back alive...something about avoiding public affection so they were only a number when they launched... and I feel a lot like nameless until I come down to Earth... from 'out there' then I have a brief idea I am James

originally I picked two monkeys that died because there were quite a few but I didn't think it helped me any longer to relate to a monkey that suffocated and another poor monkey who crashed and burned

so there you go

I'm kind of fantasy prone and Samantha Greene is someone from a world I made up who I would love to be.

Very interesting! Liked reading this! Thanks!

Mine is two part:

ham-the nickname I've given (on here!) to my bp partner. Private/cryptic reason as to 'ham', lol!

stay-support

<3 the inspirations of some!!
All the best, keep on keeping on,
Be blessed and may we rise another day!

Wow a lot of people have some deep meaning behind their names. Mine is from a joke, but I try to treat life like that, making jokes about everything, even serious things. I guess my name kinda says a lot about me too, in that sense.

I still should have went with Chester Copperpot.

User name PrairieCat is because I live in the high desert and I love cats, have two loving, adorable babies (cats). I'm an older lady and I am NOT a cougar! (Joke)

Haha PrairieCat, I am!
James, wow, there is even more to your name than I realized. Cool stuff!
DillPickles, that is too funny! You don't like pickles?! I remember your previous name too. Ya know you've been here awhile when you know a whole bunch of people through more than one name…
Ok, to answer the question... It is a one letter switch from the name of a song by my favorite group (though it is not my favorite song of theirs), and I really like how it also worked that "Inner" is like my mind. What goes on in that zone, you know? (I waited months before finally actually joining PC because of not being able to come up with a good name(!) When it finally struck, it was like, "Oh! What a relief!! I can finally join!" So sad. Worse, it's true!)

I use "em" because my initials are M.M.; the same as the rapper Eminem (Marshall Mathers)...I was also raised in Detroit like Eminem. I use the "green" because green is my favorite color & green is also the color of my alma mater's sports teams.

Its been a great post and I made myself going through all of the replies so far!!!

Its overwhelming to see all the beautiful minds and thoughts we nurture inside us; sometimes sober to the level of helplessness!!

Loved this post.

My nick, well, as most of us know, Goutam Buddha attained Nirvana and true wisdom. I believe, true wisdom is the only way to find ourselves as being and find the connection between ourselves and the universes.

I want to keep the image of closed eyed buddha...who is not looking into the world through his eyes, rather feeling it inside. This reminds me how tiny I am in this universes of galaxies, yet how greatly I am connected to it. How insignificant our lifespan is in this unimaginable length of time...or the image of time we have.

Buddha is my inspiration to desire less to suffer less. That's the discovery of him.

And the year 2014...well, I started to find my spiritual connection just in the dawn of 2014.

That's about it!!!

I'm a word-nerd and ran across this word.It fits so incredibly well and I lovelovelove water and the ocean. I wanted to use my real name but also want to be completely open and honest (how else can we get better?) and I'm wicked paranoid someone "IRL" might find me. So, there you go. Great thread, love it.

My rap name. It was originally Big C, but I decided that it was too bland and didn't suit my style. Contraband ticked all the boxes for me (play of words with my real name, easy to remember, suits my style for a number of reasons, sounds good), but I found out that someone in San Diego was using it, so I changed the spelling.
