Please be careful with yourself...when coming down from a mania...this is really the hardest time to stabilize...the depression can be devastating.
With thoughts of suicide....worthlessness hopelessness...etc.
This is just the chemistry talking....remember that those feelings will pass with time. If you are having them then talk to anyone in your network circle of family and friends...do not suffer alone. Call a hot line number, talk with a local support group.
do some small thing that used to bring you pleasure....
thank the universe for the blessings in your life that you do have.
write in a journal...
take warm baths feel the healing power of the water...
I am sorrry that this is so hard...
talk and time helps heal
fall down 7 times get up 8

Thanks, bizi. I let my P-doc know today what was going on. She came in right before I had group, and she said just hang in there, the medicine is ramping up. I felt better after group, I always do. I am reading that book, "The Unquiet Mind" and it is really good. I've been playing a CD called "Chakra Suite" by Steven Halpern and it's very relaxing. I have my MS shot today and I'm going to take it easy tonight. Hope you are doing well, and that everyone is having a good Friday.

I read both books your mentioned: An Unquiet Mind and Bipolar for Dummies. Both are great books.

There's another good book re: bipolar. It's titled "Bipolar Disorder: A Guide for Patients and Families." By Frank Mondimore. Check it out. You might like it.
