At least the (serious) sui thoughts are gone for now. Now, and this has never at all been anywhere near the case before, I get the urge to SI every time I come across something sharp or otherwise dangerous. I'm like a mentally ill mockingbird- " look shiny! That random shard of glass on the ground looks sharp..."

I've resisted the urge most of the time it comes up, but I find myself.thinking about it nearly constantly. And I HAVE SI'd numerous times.over the past.few days and I can't seem.to just stop like I used to be able to.

SI is hard to stop, you need to tell you therapist that your self harming again. My si goes along with my mood swings, the Higher I am the more I si, the less I eat. You need to sit down and think why this is going on. It could very well be an ocd issue as well. Moose 72 (?) Said those things are intrusive thoughts. My t said they were never going to go away.

I took my jacket for a few minutes before class because it was uncomfortably warm in the classroom and my friend that I take the class with saw the cut marks on my arm and said "If you're going to do that, you should really.wear long sleeves so people don't ask questions." And then hasn't talked.to.me.for the rest of he day...

Its so hard when you fall in to that trap and not knowing which way or how to crawl back out of it again! However, try and take your time, try and limit the amount of times you do it and eventually wade yourself out. If you do relapse - forgive yourself and try again, and dont get yourself worked up about it whilst your in the process of healing. You claimed you managed to resist the urges once, then you can do it again

As for your friend, try not to take the comment too personally. SI is scary for others who haven't experienced it themselves and people react differently to it. Its hard for them!

Be kind to yourself and i hope you have a nice safe, speedy recovery

I have no desire to do anything but sleep as much as possible and self harm. I go to classes because I'm obligated to. I have things that need to get done but... I guess they're not going to get done any time soon.
