I had another bout of anxiety today. I made a year-from-now check-up appointment for my kids, and the lady said "17-year check up?" For my eldest. Yikes. I still want to run away.

Well, I remember the show but its cause I used to watch it , the one that ramped up my anxiety was rescue 911 in the 90s. The actual 911 calls! Yeah, I was a nervous wreck once I had kids cause half those calls involved kids.
maybe a nickelodeon show would be a better choice? Well, pinky and the brain was on the same channel as looney tunes. I loved those guys.

Flash thought: walking into traffic and breaking my legs.

I know what you mean about the kids. Its hard to get used to. You've got lots of firsts ahead of you still. 16 is young. I really liked my kids when they were in HS, middle school I think we all tolerated each other

I don't know how long. A couple years or so. He's pretty good at it.

Why didn't my pdoc pick up on my anxiety? If she did she wouldn't make me wait two more days would she?

I always wanted to learn to play the piano, I've played around with the piano but its not the same thing. I can play right hand by ear. Left hand is useless lol

Ha. I have a faint memory of them. A friend of mine liked them years ago when they were on tv and he once sang me the theme song.

Sounds like me lately on one piece. I used to know the whole thing as a teenager and now just the right hand will work.

That's what I'm wondering...seems like they would have. They may not have heard it in your voice maybe? But still. You're still thinking self harm thoughts and worries me that they didn't pick up on that. unless you didn't emphasize that part where they noticed it. I'd say if you are still feeling that way tomorrow call back and tell them that part too. try to make them take you more seriously.

Its what I would call an instrusive thought. It just popped in- the thought of walking into traffic and breaking my legs. I dunno what they think of me.
