I am bipolar and have been in a depressive state since October. It is hard to find a local support group so I am delighted to have found this site. I realize that I am not alone in this struggle and have already found your stories to be of great help.

Question: What advice would give on how to get back to doing the day to day routines?

Tired of the bed and just need to know how to get out of this depressive funk, thanks in advance for the tips and advice.

I make a list of the things I need to do, even showering. Then get out of bed and see if you can do even one thing on your list. Then do what you can and congratulate yourself even if you just do one thing on the list. There is always tomorrow. I find I can start with some little task it gives me the incentive to do a little something else. You can ease back into you routine. Good luck. It's not easy but can be done.

I do the same thing. Put a few items on a list and congratulate myself when I get anything done.
