I didn't completely freak out when my new health insurance didn't go through right away at Walgreens. I reminded myself to breathe. The pharmacist was incredibly kind and called the insurance company on my behalf to get the right id number since it wasn't printed on my card.

I woke up with my alarm and actually managed to stay awake! (usually I pass out again)
I helped my mom out by taking her to the doctor, and had a nice afternoon with her. Unfortunately, we discussed some hard topics.. but this is supposed to be positive!!

Dusted the living room & bedroom, defurred the couch (wish I could just vacuum the cat but the little voice in my head says this is a bad idea), took a shower & washed my hair.

Oh, and this!

I used to lug Tide into the laundry room - down the stairs and around the corner.

Then I got an OXO measuring cup and would carry 1/4 cup of detergent (we have HE washers and only 1/4 cup is needed). Still, it was not convenient.

So... today I found a large empty med. bottle with a screw cap, which I did not recycle thinking that a big, clear bottle might come in handy.

Using a funnel, I poured 1/4 of Tide into the bottle, screwed on the cap tightly and threw the bottle into the laundry hamper, on top of dirty towels. In the laundry room, I emptied the bottle into the detergent receptacle. Then, at home, I closed the empty bottle and threw it into the box with Tide, so that next time it will be there for me.

I always get happy when I can think of little things that make life's chores less tedious. So that's my major feat for today!

You impress me!!! Just sayin
