Hi. Im new to this site and I by reading some of these posts i think that i can get some direction from people.

I originally came here to learn about ADD but i tookt he manic test and scored high.

I am a very on the go person, Im always trying to do more, learn more and work on multiple projects. I always have ideas for projects and new topics to explore. I feel that I do get alot done but I am prevented from doing more by concentration issues and organization. I feel that if i was better able to plan my work and time that i can get much much more done. Currently I jump from project to project and get easily distracted (especially online) becuase something catches my interest and i follow it or I realize i need to do something (like pay a bill) and I go do that. This type of thing cycles around and while I am able to do alot of the things i try to do I think i can do much more. I was surprised when i scored low on the ADD test which told me i may have a mild case but I scored really high (87) on the manic test. I was surprised because i assoicate manic with depressive and i rarely ever feel depressed or sad or guilty. Not many things ever stress me out.

I am wondering if i have an actual problem or if im just an over-achiever or am trying to do too much. I feel like i really can if i just can focus and organize better.

It sounds like you are a very enthusiastic person who is interested in many things. I don't think that is an indication of mania. Mania usually involves distorted thinking (very inflated view of oneself & one's abilities), little sleep with no feeling of tiredness, rapid talking, spending too much, irritation (like if you are in a traffic jam you go ballistic), etc. Talk to your doc about your symptoms. I also have ADD & am on Concerta for that, but I still have a hard time organizing, focussing, & remembering things. But the bp is doing well right now, anyway!--Suzy
