My pdoc suggested tracking my moods.....does anyone else do this and is it helpful?
Ive read on a couple bp sites that If you feel the start of a depressive episodes you should seek medical attention to prevent si/sh/suicide......is that necessary? Ive also read that if one becomes manic that depression usually follows.....should I tell gp if I become manic? I also dont know how to ask my hubby to check out a couple bp sites . Maybe I jshould just try myself to explain....or has anyones T's talked to spouses about bp diagnosis? Id appreciate any feedback ![]() |

Yes, mood tracking is very helpful. I do it and it makes a difference. And you can do it right here at PC by taking the mania and depression quizzes once a week and saving your scores. Just click on "Quizzes" on the ribbon bar underneath the flower picture.
![]() Anytime you have a change in your mood, regardless of which way it's going, you should alert your doctor. The sooner you can head it off at the pass, the better off you're going to be. I'm single, so can't help on the telling spouse, sorry ![]() |

I like the www.mypsychtracker.com
And this has some good information, both for you and for family http://psycheducation.org/depression/frameset.html I think it's an excellent idea to help educate your husband, he can actually help you track your moods and symptoms. |
