You can see by my other posts in here how I'm feeling. For about the last 6 weeks I have wanted to reach inside my head and pull my brain out with my bare hands. descriptions

But the countdown is on, and at 2 pm Wed. I finally get to see a pdoc! I just want to be as clear as I can about what's happening to me. What are some of the ways you describe mania or hypomania or whatever the heck is happening to me? I want to make it as clear as possible, but I've never experienced this stuff before, and I'm sure there are things I should be sure to say in order to get properly medicated, which is my goal.

just tell them what you are feeling. don't try and fit into any specific diagnosis as there is a spectrum. the best way you can help yourself and the pdoc is to the best of your ability tell them what is happening to you. please take care it will sort itself out. I am glad tomorrow is Wednesday and you will have some answers.

Look through this forum and see how we describe being manic, depressed, hypomanic, mixed and glom on to the ones that seem to fit you.

Most simply, Just being able to present a list of your complaints / issues /behaviors should give the doc a great place to start. You don't have to know what to call it to know you're not sleeping or you're surrounded by idiots so should you laugh or cry? Just talk to him and with his help you both can decide which things seem to fit which categories.

You can always print off the online tests as a place to start.
Good luck
