I take
Lamactil 200mg,
Seroquel 100mg and 50mg PRN
Clonazepam 1mg and .5 PRN

I love the Lamactil. It works great for my depressive episodes. I call it my wonder drug. Seroquel helps with sleep but if I'm a little manic it fights with my mind and is very distracting. I use to be on Lithium and it totally controlled my manic phases, didn't have any for 2 years but the depression was horrible. Hated Lithium for the simple fact that it almost destroyed my body. Took a year to get back to normal. I'll never take it again.
Seeing the pdoc on Tuesday and there may be more changes coming.

Celexa 20mg, Klonopin .5 mg, Valium 5mg, Geodon 20mg, and Trazodone 100 mg. I won't be taking the Valium or Klonopin for much longer.

Lamictal, saphris, wellbutrin, mirapex, and prn seroquel is my current cocktail, but it tends to change from time to time. I would be on different meds if my pdoc could prescribe what she wants to, but i'm limited by meds that won't test positive on a drug screen for work. If i could, i would also be on vyvanse, and probably ambien and/or klonopin as prn.

Fluoxetine for depression, Olanzapine to enhance AD and for its anti-manic properties, Lamictal as a MS and it's AD properties, and Levothyroxine. I used to take Buspirone for anxiety but it drugged me up too much. I hear that Fluoxetine is good for OCD and anxiety symptoms.

My current cocktail is as below---subtherapeutic dose of Celexa is there basically to keep me from coming undone at the seams because I DO NOT DO WELL without an AD. I know, I've tried it twice and it is no bueno. Lamictal is of course a mood stabilizer and helps me mostly with the depression, Klonopin is only taken on the days when I don't want to be anxious or crawl out of my skin, and the APs are to suppress my stubborn brand of mania and to help me sleep.

Haldol for the mania. Lamictal as a mood stabilizer. Klonopin for the crazy anxiety to calm me down even though it barely does a thing for me.

Depakote 1500mg (mood stablizer), Risperdone 4mg (anti-psychotic), Lamictal 200mg (mood stablizer for depression), Zoloft 50mg (for depression) and Xanax .5mg PRN (for anxiety)

My "cocktail" does stabilize my moods but almost too much. I have absolutely no ups or downs...just a straight line, mono-tone, robot. That being said, this combination has evolved over almost 3 years...different medications were added and others increased because my moods were out of control. I quess what I'm saying is that I still haven't found the miracle cocktail...but hopefully someday soon.

Just went back to the ol'faithful.

Lithium 600mg

Adivan 1mg PRN
Serequel 12.5mg PRN
Loxipine 25mg PRN

PRN's are all for anxiety, and Lithium 600 is for mood. I was on Wellbutrin before but it wasn't doing much.

Saint John's Wort tincture... PRN only til it gets me out of a depressive episode
customized mixture of bach essences (should be taking them daily)
valerian root tincture and catnip or lemon balm for sleep (and to calm down a manic episode)
Omega3, lecitin and gingo

Few other things. Salvia is my thing when I need to process emotions (a brew, dose too small to cause a trip by large enough to alter the mind )... hard to explain how it works... but i does (it doesn't numb the emotions. It kinda just... allow outside perspective on them and worked great for me to access forgotten or supressed memories).

I currently take the following:

100mg Zoloft 1xday
150mg Lamictal 2xday
150mg Seroquel XR

My doctor rates my bipolar as not being a very severe case and so far this combination is serving me very well. I used to take Latuda instead of Seroquel but it made me clench my jaw shut and also amplified my anxiety.

Lamictal, Abilify, and Adivan. I think i am falling in the same camp as Crubba67 when I say that i feel almost monotonous now. I feel like whenever I have an emotional spike, it hits even harder than when I was not on medication because now theres this mono-tone emotional state between. I want to feel things again but I don't want to feel crazy.

It's such a hard thing, finding a "cocktail" but is that really a good way to refer to medication? Medication is't a sedater or something you have at the end of a long day, its a tool on the road to feeling and living in a healthy way.

I just want to respond by saying, " I have been on them all" !! I was on seroquel @800Mgs per day. Saphris 20mgs BID, And remeron, , Lithium, "Witch is HIGHLY TOXIC". 600mgs, and everything in between. I am now on Neuronton, Depakote, and just went off Trazadone. The meds they give you can have PROFOUND effects, But, only you know your body, diet, and what it will allow. I am also on a Controlled substance called, " Klonipin", Wich I told My P-Doc, should be a felony to prescibe. The problem is, and some of you might not realize, Scientific Term, Clonazapam is a NARCOTIC !! Plain, and simple. That is NOT a prn , as some might think. Your body does become deppendant on it, and you suffer. I deal with GAD, ADHD, Bi-POLAR, and other issues called PTSD. This is not a battle that can be won without a PLAN !! Welbutrin was awesome, as well as Paxil, (given some side effects for male's), I loved Seroquel, as it helped shut down my Mania, But, Given sientific research, It does cause DRASSTIC weight gain, and also rise's your Trigliceride's. I am kinda , a walking med Cabinet, so if anybody wishes to talk about meds, and there side-Effects, Please, Feel free to contact me here on site as Guy w. I love to talk about meds, and there side effects. I wish all of you with Bi-Polar, The best, and guess what? We are TRUELY< The most gifted, yet miss-understood people on the planet !!! Go ahead, look it up, and see, it is very true. Bye now to all, and have a fantastic week-end ! Sincerely, Guy W.
Thanks for this!

Instead of saying Fluoxitine, Why don't you call it by it's true name? Prozac ? That my friend is scary stuff. I wish you all the best. Guy W.

My diagnosis is GAD and Bipolar II. I take:
Lamictal
Lithium
Abilify
Buspar
Cogentin
Klonopin (as needed)

After the longest and most destructive manic episode I've ever had, I am stuck in a depressive episode (almost two years). Hopefully my pdoc will be changing/updating my drug cocktail soon.

I'm surprised how many people are on an AD when studies have shown it has no therapeutic value for Bipolar and can trigger mania and suicidal thoughts.

My meds are in my signature. Still don't feel I'm on the right cocktail.
