What do ya'll do for energy besides caffeine? Caffeine is ok, but it can be jittery, or I get a high tolerance to it. Everyone seems to think caffeine is no good for bipolar people anyway.

I am open to any ideas. Sometimes short, intense exercise can get my blood flowing and boost my energy. Or eating a bunch if carbohydrates. That is about all I can think of that works for me.

caffeine will also increase anxiety. I limit myself to one cup a day. a big cup, but still one cup. lol.

I find the vitamin waters with the b vitamins will keep me up just like the caffeine does. im really sensitive to them. I cant drink them in the evening or I will be up all night.

I like caffeine, but I avoid overdoing it. I'm prone enough to mania already, and energy drinks make me a bit too zippy.

The honest truth is that I have just come down off an intense 3 week high-energy hypomania episode, that included very little sleep, incredible productivity, risky behavior and making large amounts of money! So I really need to rest at this point. I really shouldn't be trying to get more energy. I should be chillin' and sleepin'.

Sounds like a good idea pawn, I was wondering when you were going to come down. Take care of yourself.

Yeah, the Lamictal really helped keep mania "in check". Normally I would spiral out of control. Also, I haven't really "crashed" into depression, just came down to a soft landing.
I wish I had stayed on this med the first time I tried it! Dam wonder drug it is for me!
