It can take a good while to stabilize. A therapist is very important until you do.

I really want a T but PDoc is adamant that I am not ready to receive therapy. I have appointment with PDoc Tuesday, going to ask again and go from there regarding T.

Why is your Pdoc against Therapy ? Most fling and shove most people into it asap.. Odd

Oh PDoc is not against therapy at all. She wants me in therapy. She said that she wanted me to be more stable than I am now so that I would be more receptive. She is right. I can't even take in much of what I am reading. I can read about 15 minutes and that's it. Normally I read for hours. I am just impatient. My PDoc is good, I trust her, I am just in a hurry. I am going to ask again on Tuesday though for some names to start looking for a T.

I think I do have a great PDoc I do want to start looking for a T because I hope to find as good a T and I suspect that might take time.

Just explained to my moma about what I have been through the last 10 days with med changes, side effects, depression, mania, my awesome boss being driven out and now I am going to be left alone with the ***** boss from hell and what do I get from my moma!? Well, keep us posted so I know where to direct my worry. WTF!? Thanks Moma, guess I know where I stand, and you just proved what I knew already, you really don’t get it and don’t care if you ever do get it. and very sad

Oh dear,

I'm sorry that your Mom isn't able to understand or be supportive in ways that actually help BP people. I think it was very insensitive for her to make such a ridiculous response. I gave up long ago hoping someone would "understand it"

Unless you have it there's no way you can understand it. Sad but true.

What are you going to proactively do to handle going back to work with a new terrible boss?

I don't know what I am going to do. I do know that I have a filter now which I never had before. I know what I do not want to do ...

Having a filter is a wonderful thing to have. I hope your new boss just stays away from you for now.

Me too ... She is supposed to be out of the office which helps, but she does like to reach out with clear as mud emails ... My main task is to remember to NOT engage!

Hi, keep doing everything that you are presently capable of doing so that you get stable. Get support from those you trust and those who know about being BP. Don't rush into taking about it at work. The less they know the better it is for know. One thing at a time, be good to yourself and to you're partner.
Thanks for this!

sleep, eat, rest, write down moods, meds

I am working on doing all the above but sleeping is a struggle. I slept more this weekend than I have in months.

I've been on sick leave for about a month now..not real happy with it, but really I need it. I also freak out about it..still do sometimes..really I'm trying not to focus on that. Right now the main thing is to get better. hope therapy helps you and that you're better soon.
Thanks for this!

Still a bit freaked out after Day 1 but this is what I need to do. They are going to have me doing CBT and DBT. They are also going to help me find a therapist.

IOP is a great thing , I wish there was one near me when I have been unstable . The closest one for me is over 100 miles away.. so no way.

Just soak in everything you can, it really will help you .

IOP is tough at first "sensory overload" Your off work for a reason , your not just slacking off.
