Does anyone here get hallucinations? What do you do when you get them? I'm bipolar type 1 and I get hallucinations sometimes. My doc tells me when I get them, to take 5mgs of Saphris sublinguily (under my tongue). That seems to help. I was just curious how many other people with bipolar get hallucinations and what they do when they get them.

Prepsychmel, glad you found something that works. Some people I know have visualizations like seeing faces in clouds and other forms of nature.
When I am having challenges I count my breaths, 1 for the inhale and 2 for the exhale and 3 for the inhale and 4 for the exhale slowing down the breath and deepening the breath. If you lose count you just start again at 1. You may find this takes the focus off the hallucinations and on your body.

I also breath deeply. I try not to freak out or obsess over them, the quicker I say" whoa, that was crazy" and move on, the less they bother me.

Except when I'm driving, I have an hour commute both ways, I see light zaps coming from the sky to my car, sometimes they make me duck, which in turn makes me swerve. When this happens, I time out -open my window for fresh air and remind myself to pay special attention so that I and all the other drivers get home safely.
