Sorry skitzo...

This morning I sat and stared at the walls for about 20 minutes, staring at my entire world rippling and shifting and moving.

I can look at an object and it looks to breath and shift around. Only till I pan back to take in the whole picture can I tell it's everything moving. Everything shifting in different directions at the same time.

The other day I saw a ripple go through an intersection as I was driving to the store while I was stopped at an intersection. Like a wave, it started on the right side and rippled to the left, the ground picking up a good foot or so, like it was a wave through water.

Also, I see a symmetrical grid of changing shapes in the air, morphing into other shapes. Sometimes its a kaleidoscope of colors.

One other thing, everything is grainy on the molecular level and I can see a shimmer across the molecules!

I take an AP, but it doesn't really help all that much. The pdoc keeps recommending a higher dose, but that'll knock me out forever.

I get scared thinking that I'm going crazy out of my mind! Like my world is just going to be a mix of colors one day and I'll be insane!

Anybody else get like this?

Do you have a Therapist? Therapy can often teach you ways to acknowledge the hallucinations and how to self ground to realize that altho it's a horrible symptom to have to deal with , but it's a skill that could help cut way down your reaction to them.

I deal with daily hallucinations, auditory and visual. "most" all the time I can just ignore it and go about my day.

I so wish one. Usually I do ignore them, but I get locked into it...and then realize....this isn't normal.

I agree with Christina. Coping strategies from a well trained therapist may help you manage the hallucinations without having to take a higher dose of AP. However if they continue to disturb you and effect your ability to function you really should talk to your pdoc. Perhaps a switch in AP may help. I have similar hallucinations but they pass quickly and I am able to ground myself and go about my day. Yours sound worse though so it is a concern. take care

I used to see these horrible suicidal death visions all the time, and my therapist had me start mentally rewinding them. It totally made them stop. I don't understand how completely, but I was thankful. (I mean, duh)
