Hello all,
Recently I've been looking for ways to help myself mentally. I never really thought about blogging, but I figured "hey, why not give it a shot?"
My life is a crazy, chaotic mess. I wouldn't even know where to begin. Anyway, all thoughts and advice would be appreciated.
Hugs from:

wvdirtbikerider, I am just trying to help you as a brand new member. I am sorry that your life feels like such a mess and that it is chaotic. I see that you posted in the bipolar forum. Does this mean that you are struggling with bipolar issues? It would help if you shared a little more about yourself so others can be supportive. Let us know some specifics if you are comfortable sharing them so we can help.

It takes a little while for your first 5 posts to appear as they are being moderated. I hope that you find all of the answers that you are hoping for.

Thank you Yes, I have bipolar disorder along with many other things and I'm just at my wit's end trying to get stable. It's just really frustrating.

You have come to a good place to discuss what you are dealing with.

Are you on medication? Are you dealing with a professional?

Take a deep breath. Relax. And ask a few questions at a time.

One thing I like to do is what I call "passive therapy". Often you will find in medical offices, nice calming posters on the wall. I go to thrift shops and when I find a plaque with a saying on it that 'speaks to me' I pick it up. My favorite place to hang these is in the bathroom. Hey, while you're there,,,

I find them calming and make me feel better. Eventually I don't have to read them any more. Just a glimpse out of the corner of my eye brings the same feelings over me as if I had read it.

Life is a journey and if you are blessed, you will never stop learning.

Best wishes.

Thank you! I have found some relief here. Right now I'm still struggling with finding the right meds and a better doctor. The one I have is so overbooked he just doesn't take the time to properly deal with each of his patients. The meds are helping some; I think otherwise I would be in the hospital. I've been on them awhile and they need adjusted or changed. I take 300mg of Effexor XR , 400mg of Tegretol, and 20mg of Valium.

Struggling is good in the respect you haven't given up. There is Always hope and help out there, it's recognizing it that sometimes escapes me.

Keep looking for a new doc and get your meds tweaked when you can. Hang in there, better days ahead!

Best wishes! ((()))
