I just had an epifany. Every adult in our childhood helped build our foundation. We had no choice in who put what rock here or there, or the quality of that rock. Some rocks seem huge, makes for a quick foundation, but are of poor quality. Some rocks are like diamonds, very small yet very strong, steady and constant, and burning brightly.

As adults, we can improve our foundation, by discarding the flawed rocks like yesterday's trash. Get rid of all the BS! Don't let the crap we were fed ring true. It's not our fault. We had no choice. We were innocent children.

We can hang on to all who all those stones that were placed there by ppl who did care and did something, however so small, often times without their knowledge.

In our darkest hours, we can cling to that one small stone that shines so brightly. Always steady and true, it will never fail us. True, some may have had more diamonds placed in their foundations of life, but that doesn't matter.

All it takes is one.
