Here is your daily bipolar health plan.

1. Get enough quality sleep. (use Dark Therapy)
2. Avoid stress and pressure.
3. In winter use Light therapy for depression.
4. When depressed get out and have a walk between 11am and 2pm.
5. Exercise more if you can.
6. Eat a healthy diet.
7. Take a daily vitamin D supplement (5000iu)
8. Stick to a regular daily routine. Bipolar loves routine.
9. Take your meds at the same time every day.
10. Do something you enjoy every day.
11. Reset your circadium rhythms with a sunrise alarm.

Thanks for this. A couple questions out of curiosity.:

Why walk between 11am and 2pm? Is it something with the sun or time of day that makes it better than other times?

Why specifically 5000iu for Vitamin D? I take it but it's only 1000iu

Just curious if there's any sort of scientific reason. I agree with those. I am just confused about the time and IU amount.

Hi Rachael !

between 11am and 2pm is generally the brightest time of day.

I take a high strength vitamin D 5000iu and it works for me.

Another thing to add to the list is not to binge drink. I just made a post here that might help with quitting if it's a problem anyone reading this has:

Hi Rachael !
your so right in fact you should not drink alcohol at all as it causes
kindling.

Yes, indeed. It triggers hypomania for me and then throws me into depression the next day.

I am trying to figure out if it's okay for me to have a drink or two or if I should not drink at all.
