No true. BP1 does not always need hospitalisation for diagnosis. I had full blown mania and was locked up but I am BP2 as it was med induced. I know plenty of BP1 who have not been locked up for their symptoms (although they may not have done so much damage if locked up)

If you want good long term treatment you still need to act responsibly and treat your carers with respect. As I said no Dx is an excuse for bad behavior.
Well put.

Yep, many pdocs and T's wont deal with BPD patients cos many dont want to help themselves instead want hard core diagnosis and meds before even trying DBT/therapy/coping strategies.

ALL of your symptoms are screaming BPD. BPD can have hallucinations and everything you mentioned. BPD is know to cause people to react to criticism as you have. You need therapy. Accept that diagnosis and start at bettering yourself.

BPD is not as comorbid with BP2 as many think - BPD is just often misdiagnosed as comorbid BP but once they "cure" the BPD the BP goes away...... funny that!

I don't think you genuinely want to hear people's thoughts on this. I think this thread should be locked. I don't think it's healthy.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
