Another user had the amazing idea to start a thread with things that make you feel loved, warm, and secure and I thought to pay it forward!!
Im a big advocate of mindfulness, and to be constantly mindful of the good things in your life, it will make you happier than if you didn't.

Ok ill go first, for me, its reading archie comics, watching the muppets, my big stuffed toy bear, using my comfort blanket, the sound of long nails scratching surfaces, or doing yardwork/gardening. It gives me peace.

What are some things that bring you back to earth, or just make you feel warm and loved inside?

Coloring, my cat, watching my favorite comedy series (even though I have watched every single episode like a hundred times), the sound of birds, the sound of a baby's laughter and saying hello/or smiling to the dogs of strangers' on the street (cannot help myself).

I should also have said that since I'm practically off my MAOI right now I can eat anything I want and nice, melty swiss cheese and Chinese food taste like the best foods ever after 6 years.

The sound and feel of a purring cat. It calms me.

My security blanket. I have had it since I was 10.

Coloring can sometimes apeal to me, when it does, it calms me.

Reading... It allows the author to control my mind for a bit.

The feeling my skin being warmed by the sun. A hot shower. Soft and fuzzy blankets and clothes. Drawing and painting. Making crafts. Cupping a warm cup of tea in my hands ona cold morning. Coming home and being greeted by my dogs. Doing nice things for strangers and seeing there smiles. Playing Nintendo video games. Cooking and eating my own food great idea for a thread!

Snuggling my guinea pig. She gets so blissed out by such a simple thing. Which makes me happy.
Fuzzy sheets. They're like being being enveloped by a giant plushie!
BF appreciating my goofiness (I love seeing him laugh, and it gives free rein to a big aspect of me that often gets stifled or misunderstood)
Being "in the zone" working on an art project (secure by being totally in my element and confident-- so unlike my life in general!)
Being close with BF (that covers a lot of ground, right down to sense of humor.)
Gestures of kindness of any kind - universally.

Interesting fact, I use a lavender stuffed animal to sleep at night, it works super well

I think if I had a son, id talk to him too

Cleaning is extremely calming for me as well! Sometimes I actually get too carried away... haha
What kinds of goodies do you like to bake? <3 (I cannot bake except for pumpkin muffins)
