How much geodon do you take? My pdoc started me on 160 mgs and keeps me on that, and I'm wondering if it's too much, since she just increased my Prozac to 60 mgs and I just... can't... feel... anything.

I take 80mg. Works well for me. Still have a vast array of emotions. It makes me feel like I have a ceiling, so I can't get too high or loopy, which is okay. I don't like having paranoia, delusions, or seeing paintings in our apartment breathing, among other things. Lol!

Oh, I wanted to add, if it's making you numb, maybe you are on too high of a dose. I'd talk to my doctor about that.

i take 320 mg of geodon. still have break through issues. also 160 mg is the FDA max dose. you can go up to 330 mg though.

I take a small dose of Geodon, only 40mg. Whenever I've gone up to the fully prescribed amount (60mg.) I have terrible insomnia. The 40mg. is a good stabilizer for me, and helps with depression. I do want to try 60mg. eventually, though.

I was prescribed geodon a few years ago to take in the morning, it completely sedated me. i felt like a zombie until they moved it to night time. I believe it was 80mg. I later came off of it because it was ineffective. we just never know how our med cocktails will react.

I was on 80 mg till a few months ago, now I'm on 60 mg and haven't noticed a difference. I think the Zyprexa is what's doing the job for me though and I hope to taper off the Geodon at some point. I don't want to be on 2 APs forever.

The lowest I can be on is 80mg. Everytime I drop it more I get mixed.

Holy ****, you started out at that dose? I was just put on Geodon last week, and my pdoc started me at 40mg at night because apparently I have to be on an AP for the rest of my damn life, I had my first hallucination. He said it would help with sleep but I'm still waking up a million times a night plus my other meds, minus Trazadone. I did just come out of a depression, so I might be going up. I hope you find the right dose, maybe you just need more time, like me as well.

I take 100 mg at bedtime because it makes me sleepy. It's my miracle drug. Haven't had a manic episode in 4 1/2 years. I love the stuff.

I can't take geodon it caused me to stop breathing i had to go to the er and get benadryl

I take 80mg. Any higher than that and they extrapyramidal side effects are so bad that I can't function.
