I've been getting paranoid for 3 months now. I sometimes think people are going to hurt me or I just simply think people around me are going to do something to me. I take 4 mg of risperdal, 120 mg of latuda(I just started this increase from 80 mg) and I take 8 mg of perphenazine. I'm going to get off the perphenazine next week. I'm sick of getting paranoid. I feel like in the future if my paranoia doesn't go away I might kill myself. I can't handle it anymore. It's so stressful. I live worrying daily about getting paranoid then when it happens I get depressed. What medications do you guys take that help with paranoia? That made it completely go away.

I've heard of Zyprexa, can you drive on that or does it make you too tired?

Zyprexa helped the most but abilify helps enough. To live normal.

Zyprexa really helped me and if it hadn't raised my cholesterol I'd still be in it. It was sedating for me at higher doses but on a low dose I was fine. I took it at night so it wasn't so bad.

Hope u feel better soon

Yes I could. At one point I was on the highest dose and though I needed it at the time-I was slightly over sedated. But I could still drive and such. Just needed a nap everyday. At lower doses I didn't even need a nap. Everyone is different though

Lithium made a really big difference for me (which we didn't know until my first big episode off it when suddenly I was much more psychotic than usual and very paranoid).

Zyprexa is my magic bullet for the paranoia. I am able to drive; I take it a couple of hours before bedtime so there's no problem with grogginess during the day.

Geodon helped me a lot. It didn't sedate me at all.

Geodon here too. Has worked much better than Zyprexa did. And it doesn't make me drowsy and I can drive and work on just fine. 40 mg 3x a day.

Zyprexa worked fine for me but it prolonged my QT heart rhythm so I have to use Abilify instead. I'm still paranoid but it's manageable.
