I have been totally crazed today. Agitated, Irritated, knee jerk, MANIC! Going WAY too fast. Even my boss said I was going too fast. Contacted T who said contact PDoc. I contacted PDoc. Nurse said ER. PDoc said go home, and take 50mg Seroquel next 2 nights. So, I am home, still crazed, will eat then take meds since it will knock me out. Sigh ...

Hopefully the Seroquel brings you down. Keep in close touch with your pdoc.

How did it work for you? The Seroquel I mean? Sure it knocked you out understandably, but did its effects linger into today?
Thanks for this!

Groggy and grumpy today. Dunno how I feel ... Brain still kinda racy. Actually did not really sleep that great. Thought 50 mg Seroquel would kick my butt. Instead could not wake up and cannot stay awake now. Guess I do not really feel so good.

Sometimes when I'm manic, my seroquel doesn't put me out. My tolerance is high though. I think I was a bit manic yesterday. Cried all day long and faught with my bf's mom. I know I was manic because I don't remember much of yesterday. Just the bad parts. Do you have any PRNs that can help you to relax? Maybe call pdoc back and let him know seroquel didn't help that much. It might be beneficial to increase it because 50 is too low to even be therapeutic. Good luck and I hope you get over this smoothly!

I had a bad day like that abt two weeks ago but it was my fault. I missed one dose of my meds and my day went to hell fast. My doc had to give me haldol, Benadryl and Ativan to get me back on track. I took these for seven days with my other meds (except Lithium).

I fought with my spouse today. I am SO angry, for no reason. I do not remember a lot of the past few days. I am afraid to call PDoc cuz she will put me IP again. Seroquel has been my PRN, afraid it may not be any more. Do not want more meds or to go back on Depakote.

Weekend sucked. Fought with spouse. Did nothing but binge watch TiVo and play games on pad. Seroquel did not knock me out as expected. Was evil mean and cranky all weekend. At this point I am afraid if I even try to explain thoughts and feelings to anyone (spouse, T, PDoc) I will be be locked up again and it has not quite been a year since I was IP for the first time. I have no FMLA left, so cannot be out anyway. I am "safe" but my thoughts are freaking scary crazy to me ... This is how I was a year ago and my spouse thinks I am better?!

Augh!!!

Seroquel finally kicked in, as in kicked my @$$. PDoc pulled in from group yesterday. Really wants me to take off work, afraid she wants me IP. Really crummy mood. So tired of this, not THAT tired, just tired, frustrated, kinda scared. Better than I was a year ago though. Feeling like a yoyo, a rather useles one ... Gonna take more Seroquel and go to bed early tonight.

Have you thought about making seroquel a daily med? It may do you some good. Are you going to go into IP as your pdoc suggested? I hate IP. Depends on where I go really. I didn't have insurance before so I landed wherever there was an open bed.

I think that might be where we are headed. But it is weird, took it tonight, an hour ago, should be unconscious now (I am in bed) but I am more wide awake than I was this am. I went out in bad shape last 29Oct for 3 months. Really trying hard not to make this an annual thing, and to not lose my job, insurance, house, etc. oh yeah, that would be catastrophizing ... Now I am getting real short tempered and my filter is faulty. I want to stomp, kick, punch (inanimate objects), bang my head on things, and yell. Instead I am going to try to distract myself to sleep.

How many mgs are you taking? Sometimes when I'm really manic, it won't put me to sleep. I'd have to take my Ativan.

I usually take 25, now taking 50. It helped last night. I think I will talk to my PDoc tomorrow about increasing the Trazadone. I was totally frenetic today. Could not sit still, concentrate. Figured out this is not a good time of year for me. Even my Harm OCD is in overdrive. Cannot take any benzos, including Ativan. I get what is called a Rage Reaction. It is ugly.

I hope you are feeling better :-( (((((((HUG))))))))

I get a sort of panicky rage too. I feel trapped and desperate and my anxiety spikes then I melt down. It often happens when my mood states are shifting from one to the other, and can happen after weeks of depression as I swing up, or it can be the beginning of weeks of depression.

I've got holes in my walls and I've destroyed a lot of expensive things throwing them (laptops, cell phones etc) It sucks to feel that out of control. I'm always at risk for impulsively/compulsively doing self harm when I'm like that.

I do hope you feel better soon. It's really tough to be where you are right now. Do what you need to do to keep yourself safe! I hope you'll go IP if you need to...

Lisa

So I got a new tattoo Friday on my back, planned for months, not a manic thing, and a neon pink semocolon on left wrist. My spouse Jo, is pissed, seems to think I should only spend the money I earn on us and her mom, none on me or my family. Did not sleep well Friday night. All this, mostly her anger and silent treatment, resulted in a VERY bad day yesterday. Jo pretty much not talking to me. She is yelling at all of us, me and the pets. I think I am having visual and auditory hallucinations. I am seeing things outside. I am hearing things on tv that make no damn sense, but then I cannot hear for $#!t, just ask Jo. I really needed to shower and go out and do things yesterday. Instead it is all I can do to sit here and breathe and not cry.

why do people list all their meds and why do people living in huts in fiji never seem to have all these problems or need all these meds.

Workhorse, I'm sorry your day was so bad. I hate it when my husband acts like that. It all makes me feel so low as if I didn't have have enough of that already.

I hope things settle down for you soon.
