I know what makes me unhappy.
Now I need to concentrate more about what makes me happy. I feel like I'm just barely existing. What brings happiness to your life?

Nature, food, loved ones, strangers, art, imagination, even sometimes cleaning the house, laughter, memories, learning, driving, exercise, etc...

My therapist had me do two things for homework:
1. She had me make two pie charts. One to reflect my current identity and one to reflect what I want it to be. 2. She asked me to make two bucket lists. The second one was to be attainable, measurable, and accomplishable in a realistic time frame. I was then directed to look at the two lists and consider what extra I could do to even manage items on the first. |

Doing things I enjoy. I have several hobbies. I play the violin and am learning two new languages. I take time to think what I'm thankful for and if I have any worries I leave them to God.
Positive thinking is really powerful. It has really changed my life. Yes, medication helps partly but you got to do some of the work too. Start trying new things, find something you enjoy. Reading, walking, learning a new language, cooking, writing stories.. and so on. There are so many possibilities. Also, exercise helps me mood. I feel good after a workout. It releases endorphins and can eventually help self esteem issues if you have them and start to get in better shape. You'll just feel better overall. Good luck finding something, keep us posted ![]() ![]()

I've been praying more today. For all of you and myself. It's helping.

The act of laughing makes me happy. Something went sideways today at work during a presentation, while debriefing with my team, I got a major belly laugh. Lifted my mood.

I think the first step is surrounding yourself with people who make you feel your best, and who bring out the best in you. If you hang around people who make you feel sad and depleted, it will do nothing for you. Do something physical. Do something creative. Learn how to do something new. Smile at people, even if they don't smile back. Just try. Always start with the little things first.

You know I have to force smiles. I rarely laugh anymore either.
I think it's my Meds.
