The best trait of my husband is the way he backs me. He stays on my side. Like when I told him if I would have gone earlier to the bank I would have found out sooner that Luis was embezzling.
He just said. You did good honey. You caught it now and prevented future losses.

Of course by same token I could have ragged him for not going to the bank in Jan while he was here. But I didn't. We don't do that.

I have a saying in our lives. It's never about the would of- could ofs or should ofs. It's what are we going to do about it now.

My boyfriend listens, like REALLY listens. He may not respond right away, but anything I say gets thoughtfully processed. He pays rapt attention to my thoughts and concerns and makes changes and/or gives me suggestions.
I'm still learning how to actually share, and he is very very patient with me

Your husband sounds very supportive! Now if only my bf could be like that What's a great trait of your bf, gf,so, husband or wife. But anyways, my bf is always the calm one. I'll be crying about something when he's next to me singing to the radio and saying "it's not that bad! Calm down!" So he brings me back to earth a bit. I've always overreacted over the smallest things.

I know the topic says partner, but since I don't have one and I don't think I'll ever have one in the future, my parents put up with a lot of my s**t in the last 2 years, did things and accepted things I thought they never would and basically stepped up. I could be abusive and mean and they still put up with me and my moods. So yeah, understanding, or trying to I guess.

I want to contribute something cuz I am working on appreciating anything I can find. He's very organized, a hard worker, fishes and brings me food, and he's very easy on the eyes.

My husband loves me from the depth of his being. He is one of the kindest individuals I have ever met. He lives in constant debilitating pain but keeps an amazing positive outlook despite his challenges. He is ever supportive and always respectful. It is mutual. Probably the reason we are about to celebrate 29 years of marriage.
Thanks for this!

That she's stubborn and hard headed. From the beginning she's been there for me. Through my fits of anger she's been there. When I'm at my worst she's been there. When I've broken up with her and packed her up and pushed her out the front door she's been there. She's been with me through the thick and thin and that's why we're getting married in April. Definitely a keeper in my eyes.

He's my reality checker. He knows what bp is like. He won't let me make decisions when I'm in a episode.

They have a lot of mental illnesses of their own, and neither one of us has ever been into commitment, but there's a really good chance that we have found something really important in our relationship, and we could make it long term. Lots of teenagers say that, but we have both been through so many situations and extreme problems that I think we can stick it out pretty well. I'm very much in love and very lucky to have them.

He has absolutely no clue what depression or mania is. BUT, he knows what I need and supports me 100%. He does more than his share of housework. He gives me space when I need it, and company when I'm lonely. When I'm throwing up, he gets me water and holds my hair back.

He lets me cry and doesn't need to know why.

He has put up with some awful things I've done in the past before I was medicated, and does not hold it against me or even bring them up.

He makes me a bubble bath and brings me wine.

He's goofy and playful, especially with kids.

He is my heart, my soul, my better half. I cannot fathom life without him.

My girlfriend is there for me no matter what and I have never had
someone in my life like that. I have had people say it to me but it
never turned out to be true. With her its amazing how she is always
there and always lets me know she loves me.

My husband is an angel. He loves me unconditionally, and he's put up with me and my shenanigans for 36 years. He has always been thoughtful and loving in every way possible. He has his quirks too, but nothing I can't live with.

He has accepted me, the good the bad and the ugly, without question or exception since day one. 10 years before we even started dating.

He's my head cheerleader, my calm in the eye of the storm, my anchor when I'm being swept away.

He diffuses my emotional explosions, and never antagonizes me.

Give me space when I need it, holds me close when I can't bare distance.

Listens when I talk, comes running when I call, doesn't judge me, he believes in me, and encourages me to do the same.

He worships the ground my daughter walks on, and always puts her first.

This may be his sexiest trait yet, considering she's not biologically his.

Such a sweet thread! My husband.... Right now his greatest trait is that he's trying. He's trying to deal with this with me and I can tell it's hard, but he's trying. And I'm extraordinarily thankful!!!

Looks like we all have something to be thankful and grateful for in our lives.
