started. The first med decrease started tuesday. No real changes in mood yet...probably wont be until later down the road...if any. Physically feeling just as good as before the decrease. It's gonna take about 2-2 1/2 months to get off this first med and another another month before I start decreasing the second one. 2 months to decrease off the second one. A month after that I'll consider it successful if I get off both without incident. So in total we're talking 6-6&1/2 months before I'm done taking meds and consider it successful as far as the physical. It'll be a year after I'm off before I consider it a success emotionally. We'll see things can change.

It's always good to have a plan. In the past I tapered off of 4 different medicine over long periods of time. I'm taking different ones now, but everyone's treatment plan should be unique to their needs. I'm glad you are feeling clarity about your plan. Hang in there!

Slow and steady. Like the turtle.
But don't hesitate to notify Pdoc if you feel Psycotic. You may need a med change. I do understand your desire to be med free. I went med free and after psychosis went comotose. Not trying to scare you. Just want you to be careful.

I'll let NP know if something serious comes up but if it's serious enough I'll head to ER. I dont foresee problems I went through a stage a long time ago of just forgetting for days at a time to take them and it never did anything.

Im allowed to change my mind! Thanks. Decided I'll just stop caring about those opinions which are not in line with mine...and honestly people can bash it all they want they are not me only have the few facts posted and certainly based on that I dont have to take into consideration anything I dont want. |

Hi, your avatar describes a struggle with your grandmother's declining health and you seem to be describing a planned withdrawal from medication. I decided to stop my meds while struggling with my father's ongoing death from cancer 15 years ago, hands-down one of the worst decisions of my life. FYI, FWIW.

Glad to hear you slowly tapering off. Just don't get discouraged so easily in this thread. When you post a topic, you're asking the opinion of hundreds of people on a public forum. While some may tick you off, I promise no one means harm. We're hear for support and some of us just don't sugarcoat it
