So before i start ill tell you a little bit about myself.
I am 18 years old, Never been diagnosed with anything except depression and GAD. I frequently smoke cannabis and take psychedelics.

I am not looking for a diagnosis, just wondering if anyone can relate to this.

So, I have had depression and GAD since i was 12. I was medicated for it but only for a few weeks because i stopped it. I've never really been a hyper person and i really don't like going outside (i spend weeks at a time in the house). About 7 month's ago i was sectioned for around 6 weeks due to a large overdose. Now since then i have had weird mood swing's. I'll be depressed for months then i will wake up one day feeling energetic, Full of confidence and thinking i'm a genius (literally). The first time this happened i thought i could solve a murder. I was always talking and being a very cocky person. I was going out a lot more which is very unusual for me. Other things were happening as well, I found it more difficult to read thing's and just generally concentrating on thing's. That lasted for around 10 day's. Now i am back to my depressed ways, Not leaving the house, Not talking to other's and i have lost all my confidence again. It's very upsetting as i care for my mum and when my mood changes it's very difficult to care for her. There's a lot more i could add on to this but it would make it too long. Can anyone relate to this? Should i make an appointment with my GP? Thanks!

How did you find out about your other mental issues?
I've never done acid or Lsd. I knew I was bipolar at a young age. I was afraid of drugs.
So maybe someone else will post with experience.
But I do think you could use a Drs help.
Do you plan on college? Good luck.

I was diagnosed with Depression and GAD when i was in therapy. I would go to college but my anxiety is too high and i currently don't have enough time to do it as my mum needs 24hr care.

Yeah this does sound like it may be BP but you should meet with a Psychiatrist who can do an in-depth interview with you and make a formal diagnosis.

PS: If you are taking antidepressants / mood stabilizers / anti-psychotics you really, really should not be messing around with psychedelics. Mixing them can cause psychotic episodes, seizures, and cardiac problems.

The times where you feel cocky and invincible sound like classic mania, which is a major characteristic of Bipolar Disorder. You should definitely get evaluated by a psychiatrist. Best wishes!
