when does a dream stop being a dream and become something else ... ? ...

wrote yesterday about a strange mood I am in ... so this is a capper ... had a very active dream last night . so bad had to take xanex to get back to sleep , the very lucid dream continued till I awoke ... I am sure I was awake as I looked at the clock and began thinking about the day ahead but then continued fighting with a red and a blue pillow ... yes pillows ... one of the strangest experiences of my life .... then I actually crawled to the sides of the bed looking for them ... of course they were not there ... I may have been waking up at first, but not after I looked at the clock ... I was awake ...

psychotic ... or am I jumping the gun ... it's only my 3rd lucid dream or so ... not much experience in that area ... just wondering .....

I like this new med (doxepin) but I believe it is beggining to woop my ***** ....

this is embarassing ... but I have no answer .... so afraid it is the drug ... hoping this does not return and goes away soon ....

If lucid dreaming is psychosis, I'm in trouble. I have vivid, real life like dreams almost nightly and have since childhood. I wake my husband up crying, whimpering or kicking frequently. Sometimes I wake up kinda and try to wake up all the way but can't. I just assumed this was my normal and not psychosis . I'm sorry you suffer with this too.

I've had lucid dreams that felt like psychosis while asleep, like not like normal dreams or normal lucid dreams at all. At one point it got to where I couldn't tell for sure if i was awake or asleep, so i had to make up ways to test and figure it out. My strategy was to drink water, and if my mouth got wet i was awake, if it stayed dry i was asleep. Bizarre, but I actually had to do that. I was taking the quit smoking drug Champix (i think it's called Chantix in some countries). Very unsettling. I quit smoking though, so that was good.
I hope it settles down for you, scary stuff!
