Positive things I've done today #4 :)

That's HUGE! I don't know how I would have stayed sober without my sponsor. Congrats, as well, for your accumulation of "karma." Sponsoring people certainly helps keep me sober, too; I'm sure it's the same for you!

Finally slept for 7 hours strait! Think it might have been the beer I had with dinner.

Cleaned the house a little and dyed my hair.

My mom is depressed this year and doesn't want to do the cooking so I just ordered a ham and turkey pre made dinner from a nice local Supermarket called Raley's. Trying to make the holiday as easy, peaceful and fun for my mom as possible. All the side dishes sound delicious and I really hope everyone enjoys it. I've heard good things from people about these pre made holiday meals. I have an issue with handling raw meat, especially turkeys so this was my best option.

What a wonderful gift for your mother. You are the best daughter!

I'm taking time for me watching a show on horses on the TV that I pay for every month! I should watch it more seeing as it doesn't cost per show. I like to record shows and watch them later.

Got up and yawned! Made muffins and now watching TV while tired.

Thanks! It's pretty crucial for my sobriety. I want to be the kind of sponsor these guys deserve, which requires me to be spiritually fit. It is so gratifying to see someone turn their life around. I get excited for these guys because their about to get a huge upgrade in their lives as long as they work the program. I know my life is upgraded.

I had a guy who was going blind from the drinking. We started less than 3 months ago. He called me today to say his vision is 20/40 and he can drive again. If that's not a miracle, I don't know what one is.

Today, my positive action besides AA sponsorship, was to check on my twin brother and ask how his book is going (going great, btw). We all want to be asked about our projects and people rarely do. We just want to talk about our projects. He never asks me about my projects, but that's ok. That's just not where he is right now. I get the satisfaction of being a supportive brother.

Cooked my son lunch, which is a big deal since I've been sick with a cold/ flu for awhile.

Went to a juice bar

Took my daughter shopping. Got her Xmas present(s). Didn't find anything else I wanted except groceries. I made dinner and my youngest and I ate the same thing! That's big! We are going to church choir tonight too.

Went to therapy.

Went out to dinner with a very good friend then listened to music and chatted for hours.

Made dinner (filet mignon... yum!!) and had a pretty good day. Also brought in the trash cans and cleaned the kitchen a bit.

I took my daughter shopping for her Christmas gifts and took my younger son to church choir rehearsal.

Did my very best not to lose my cool and explode, at work when my boss sent out an email saying that I failed an audit (I am an accountant), when I did not. I used an incorrect schedule, which is not a fail, it is a warning. But he made it sound like I failed the entire audit (which is a very bad thing)

I hate that man with every fibre in my being. I despise him

Do you buy the frozen fillet mignon at Costco? I just discovered those... yum indeed.

I had two cups of coffee with half and half. I am trying to determine whether I prefer this taste to the taste of coffee with milk. I know I feel more cared for (by myself) when I pour half and half in the coffee.
