"self-awareness of things done or assessed wrong" must be a different stage from "self-awareness of losing control", surely. Both are forms of dysphoric mania. Agreed?
Or maybe they just may be. "confusion and fear" might be a third type. Different from the awareness ones, though one is more like it than the other. Edit: "nothing I do and nothing about me is right just now" depression.

Our memories are more or less split in two by abstractions, conceptual reductions. Mood states with memories, concepts, attached. Memories of pain and those of joy. It causes instability, changeability. Fearing that will leave an emptiness between pain and joy and a greater divide. See Me, Feel Me, Touch Me, Heal Me. "tired of life and tired of a mixed state" depression.
All because of 5-HTP, most likely. First in 2–3 years. Does anyone agree it's possible that mania has many different dynamics but depression is the absence of dynamics (pretty much) and understanding and realising a dynamic causes depression and assuming a dynamic mania? Understimulation is caused by understanding and no longer realising, overstimulation by not understanding or realising. The direct causes. Basically.

"can't take this much longer but I may just as well try mental equivalent of a severe migraine and a fixed in time can't stand upright but no increase in hard beat panic attack, without extreme hypersensitivity yet, but writing this really helps" depression stage.
It's a state just before the "can't sleep hypersensitivity and all of the above, deepest depression known to me, please let it end now by any means" stage.
