Does anyone here enjoy biking?
In case you couldn't guess, I love biking! It's so much fun. I don't get to do as much biking these days because I'm working full time now, and lately it's been a little rainy. I want to get back into mountain biking. It's a lot of fun biking down the side of a mountain -- well, that is until you crash and destroy something, either you or the bike. ![]() I only have 1 helmet because I can't be bothered to buy another one, and it's a full-face helmet (like the kind dirt bike riders wear), so I look like a tool when I go biking on a normal trail. lol. But no one can see my face anyways! |

I loved biking. I rode a mountain bike on the road, knobbies and all. I was pretty strong at it. I don't and can't ride anymore because of a lumbar fusion. When I rode trails, it was never anything too technical, just some easy single track, a little root jumping, some mud, and just generally having fun.

Yeah, I don't like really technical trails either. Did you go biking with other people or just by yourself? I go by myself nowadays because I don't have anyone to go with, so I tend to stick to the safer trails.
Sorry to hear that you can't bike anymore ![]() |

I rode with a club for a few years, but then I came to prefer riding alone. Part of the dislike of riding with others I developed is because I realized I was just being tolerated. So I started riding alone, and liked it much better. It was all on my own terms. I'm not a jerk, but I'm just not one of the "cool people".

I like riding indoors. But I pulled something in my hip years ago while biking and it's never healed and hurts like crazy, so my biking days are over. If I were well, I'd love to get into mountain biking. Just stay safe and keep that helmet on.

I love single track trails way back in the woods. I always took a camera with me in case I saw something photo worthy. I'm getting a new bike in July. Probably a Trek 3500 hardtail. Nothing fancy, just something to ride and have fun with.
