Vertigo, tinnitus, headache, hot flashes, muscle spasms, numbness in my hands and feet.....I'm so anxious my entire body is freaking out. I took a benzo but it won't stop and it's making the anxiety even worse...I can't go to the ER because they won't do anything...they'll just give me a couple of benzos (which I have here at home) and send me home to wait for my psychiatry appointment on the 28th. This is horrible.

I'm so sorry. I feel your pain. I'm sorry the ER cannot give you anything to ease your suffering. It's terrible to be in such a state. (((Hugs)))

I agree with music lover. Did your meds just change, or a dose increase?

P.S. I get some of those symptoms when my Lithium is too high.

Only meds I'm on are Estrogen, Lyrica and Palexia (a pain killer). I'm still waiting on my appointment to get treated for my bipolar. It's in three weeks. I've been on the other three medications for a very long time with no side effects or dose changes.

Bee Pollen (1,000 mg as needed for hypomania)- it usually calms down hypomania within about 30 minutes. Seriously. I'm sure it could help take the edge off mania, too. NAC- (1,000 mg 3 x a day) It helps me with my obsessive thoughts (recommended by my psychiatrist). I think it can help with other MI symptoms, too, so I would look it up and see if it can be of assistance to stabilizing your mood. Fish Oil- I am not good about remembering to take it, but it was once recommended by a psychiatrist to me. Just thought I'd suggest some things you can do in the meanwhile before you can see the pdoc. ![]()
