I'm going to be attending one next month when it starts up. In my area there has been no bipolar groups to go to....
Question: Do you find CBT to be helpful or has it opened up old wounds and or is still helpful? Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk |

Listen to music or go for a walk (or both).
What was the last thing to make you laugh out loud for real, like a total guffaw?

When "things" happen to you while manic that are unusual how do you reconcile that you might have a spiritual experience or you might just be imagining it under mild psychosis?

TimTheEnchanter's question - I don't have positive spiritual experiences when I'm (hypo)manic. I'm almost always mixed when I am hypomanic, which means I have both anxiety and depression rather than anything euphoric. When I'm symptomatic, I feel totally cut off from anything spiritual.
And shattered_sanity's question - probably my trichotillomania. Supposedly 1% out something of the population has it, so some would say that it isn't unusual, but I know only one or two people in real life. I pull out my body hair compulsively without conscious thought so it has been nearly impossible to stop, though it has been lots better recently since I started talking to my therapist about it and got some strategies. Do you fear your next episode?

I expect episodes but I fear how my life will exist around it. I fear being truthful about being unwell. A lot of guilt and feeling a burden. And I fear having to shift so much of my responsibilities to my partner (who doesn't always handle that well). I think that is what I fear the most.
Do you feel like you are always masking being unwell to some extent? |

Yes. I never am not cycling, just sometimes it's not very bad. Clozaril does a better job at limiting it than anything else ever has.
Do you have meds you can adjust the dosage of within a certain range?

No.
On a normal night's sleep, how many hours are good for you? |

With my current meds I need 10-12 hours to get past the grogginess. Hopefully I'll be able to slowly lower my clozaril until I am not quite so sedated.
What was your first bipolar symptom?
