It's happening to me again after like 2 years. I just can't stop thinking about hot guys and sexy gals and getting aroused. I also had to release the excitement more than I can handle and it's almost uncontrollable. When I'm outside, I can't help it but stare at dem hot people. I'm so sorry if I sound pervert but I'm am not like this and its giving me anxiety!
I tried to play my xbox or watch tv show for distraction, the characters in it makes it even worse. And the fact that I haven't slept properly for the last 4 day, awake straight for 2 days so far. I'll be seeing my pdoc tmr morning so anyone's got any tips to suppress my sexual feeling and maybe force myself to sleep for today? |

Go on a large dose of latuda. That will dry you up real quick. On a serious note, your pdoc will prescribe you something to come down off that high you are experiencing and that should take care of it.

Thanks for the quick reply. I forgot to mention that I'm on Lamictal now, 25mg per night and started it 2 days after stopping Amitriptyline(Anti-Depressant) 10mg for migraine. So I'm suspcting it's still in my system and causing this.. And it's good to know that I'm not sounding like a perv.

I agree some meds will knock that out of you real quick. Latuda is definitely one of them. As are most antipsychotics. Coming off an anti-depressant is most likely the cause of this. Hopefully it will pass soon. Take care.

Amitriptyline can do it. You are probably super sensitive, because your dose was small, but, it happens at small doses, too. In general, there is NO direct "earmarked" fix for this - the drying effect of APs is a side effect rather than a beneficial effect, and that side effect goes overboard, missing the point of normalcy. The only fix is general mood stabilization - in other words, there is nothing just for hypersexuality, but as your mood is stabilized, you should go back to normal sexuality. Just know that it won't last forever, that - as noted above - you are not a pervert, and that you are not alone, and target general mood stabilization.
With migraines, an elimination diet can help with prevention. Amitriptyline is used to prevent migraines, so I am suggesting an alternative prevention route. It did help me. E.g. I do not eat bananas and nuts and chocolate because they are trigger foods for me. It will take time to figure out if you have trigger foods, but doing so is safe, unlike taking Amitriptyline, especially Amitriptyline without an AP. Please also note that migraineurs in general have a higher sex drive (because of something in the brain), so your baseline is higher than in the general population. I hope with mood stabilization you will be able to enjoy that sex drive without feeling overwhelmed by it. Tegretol and Depakote also prevent migraines, but be careful, especially with Depakote, at it can cause large weight gain. I would start with trying an elimination diet because it has no side effects. |

I have seen my Pdoc few days ago. So yes, according to him, it was due to Amitriptyline. Similar to when I was give anti-depressant for my depression diagnosis a year ago.
He prescribed me a new med name Quetiapine 100mg for every night. Not sure if it's similar med to what you guys mentioned but it knock me off and set me for 18 hours of deep sleep, after being awake for days lol. Now I feel as if my my mood is balanced out, mind is clear and my hypersexuality is gone. I do have the sexual feeling but not as persistent as when I was hypersexual. But the only annoying side effect is the drowsiness and lower energy. @Sad Mermaid, that makes so much sense! And also an interesting fact of people with migraine I never knew. I thought lamictal is already enough as a mood stabilizer, but I guess it not effective at its lower dosage. I'm definitely gonna try out he elimination diet since I'm trying not to put anymore chemicals in my body. Thank you all for the kind reply! |

normal dose for lamictal is 200mg but you titrate up to avoid getting " the rash"
so you have a ways to go. Be patient. bizi

I get hyper sexual really bad and usually It gets out of hand but I usually try to just "take it out on my self". I will listen to really sexual music like anything in Brintey Soears' In the Zone album. Or I run to the bathroom at school if it's to intense to where I can't wait to hook up.
It was really bad a couple weeks ago. I ended up making out with a guy on the train and then in the bar and then I fooled around with twelve other guys at a sex club and then I lost my virginity to a guy I had met once before. I'm more afraid of the risk behind hypersexuality like diseases and sti's. I hope you feel ... Um more level?... Soon. Hugs... Sorry ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yes, medication has curbed the sexual appetite. I have in the past purposely withdrawn myself from any situations I might act upon
