My appointments were ok. I'm so scared of taking new meds after the disaster that happened with geodon. My doctor upped my lamictal (again) and we are keeping a close tab on my moods. I'm perhaps unwisely under medicating, but I like that my doc let's me be at the wheel.

My therapist was worried about how hopeless I've been feeling. He made some good suggestions and hopefully things will get easier. Akasthisia

I did not think that lamictal helped with hypomania?
When do you see them again?

It's definitely not supposed to. My understanding is that it can delay the onset of mania, but it is mostly used for depression.
I've been lingering in this emotional rollercoaster mixed place for a while now. I refused more meds when he suggested. I don't feel safe trying other things right now. I feel traumatized.
But the last couple of days I have felt upbeat. I do have horrible anxiety at night and an apparent aversion to sleep, but I'm functioning pretty well.

I see my therapist next week. We always do 1-2 weeks, never more. I told my doctor I would call him when I need him. He always lets me be in control. I must be doing better than I thought? Lol

I worry about you.
The not sleeping is classic hypo sign. and you were having manic symptoms too not that long ago...isn't that why he put you on geodon?
Have you struggled with sleep issues for a long time like years or just recently?

Thanks bizi! My sleep problems come and go. In my right mind, I sleep a steady 8 hr night every night.
He put me on geodon for mixed manic issues for sure. Maybe I'm still lingering in a hypo place. I'm not sure. I know that I don't feel depressed which is great after feeling hopeless for months. Phew!
I do have some benzos for sleep as needed. I'll put them to use
