I was just wondering if any of you all had experienced an episode where you could feel the mania coming? I swear I can feel an episode coming !!! I feel like doing something wild and crazy right now...feel it in my blood...feel it plusing through me...I haven't actually gone manic but I feel it coming. Has anyone else experienced this?

I often feel an episode coming on - up to 15-30 minutes ahead of time. It gives me a chance to tell the people I'm with "Hey, I'm starting to climb". When I'm alone, I let it roll and STAY SAFE!! I just had a medication adjustment, so I know I'm more prone to cycling right now. Keeping up with my T and psych doc is important. Long and short of it - you're not unusual! Hope you feel better and good luck. is it possible to feel a manic episode coming?

i am not sure if it is good or bad...think i am experiencing a manic state...but i also think that the meds are working. I haven't gone off the deep end yet. Talked with my T about it yesterday....I am still feeling somewhat high like I get when I am manic. However...don't know if you all are very randy and act out on it...but that is part of my bp.....i really want to and i am trying so hard not to. But damn I want to is it possible to feel a manic episode coming?

Right now I am having so much trouble keeping everything in check and trying to deal with the things my T wants to work on....it sucks.....
Im glad that this forum is here for me to vent....at least maybe someone has these kind of feelings.... is it possible to feel a manic episode coming?

mydarlin,
i notice that i:
...starting talking more
...have all of these great ideas
..get impulsive
...worst case senario..relaspe
(i never relaspe while depressed)
mania scares me more, i've hurt myself more while manic.
at least now i know that i am, i've been so high energy all of my life, my family and friends usually don't notice it,
which is scarey because i live alone
and there is no one to dowm me down so to speak.
so i try to stay safe like you.
on the advice of my doc, i've started taking a low dose antipsychotic to bring me dowm faster. it seems to be helping a bit, at least i'm not going into a mixed state, which is torture.
i wish you well,
dorsey

hey,
In response to the post I'm finding it easier to feel a manic episode coming on. but i never realized that during a manic episode you could hurt yourself more than during a depressive one? I am scared of my lows cause I have gone into fogs before. I was just diagnosed with bipolar 2 in March so i am learning about everything. Please explain to me how mania is worse than depressive :S ~Snaregirl~
