I don't know what else to say. I cannot STAND being manic at all. I take 160mg/month half ok plus lithium blood level of 4.5-5.5 to avoid it. The trazodone really helps with the depression. But. With the way I am and how my meds work, I am manic all night and depressed during the day. The trazodone doesn't even help with sleep I just have to find the courage to go to bed or my next day is ruined. 3 meals a day, exercise, hygiene. But I am just so depressed most of the time, I kind of have to ignore my heart or it causes me anxiety, and grasp my soul so close it hurts. This is where I am most happy.

I use the phone A LOT trying to keep company and if I don't eat red meat I feel HORRIBLE. Probably shouldn't be smoking, but I do. Case in point BP2 is a help of an illness. I wish I could work more and contribute to society but I am just so ill. All day people coming up to me and asking me if I am OK. I just tell them that I am alright or that I am tired. Just SO SO hard to go on but I will make it through. I know that I will. I believe I will.

Sorry that you're having a hard time. Maybe you need a med change?

Maybe I think they have me misdiagnosed as chizoaffective w/ my bipolar when it's really just schizotypal tendencies. Time will tell. Thank you for the support!

I agree with Fharriage: a med change might help with this. It sounds like you're not getting the proper treatment.

But if you're confident your problems are due to schizotypal tendencies, can you bring that up to your therapist at the very least (if you have a therapist at all)? Your therapist might be able to help you pinpoint the cause of your problems, which will allow you to get better treatment.

Good luck!

Updating... I got a med change and am coming off the klonopin. It was making me tired. Also added oxcarbazepine for mood. I don't know why they have me on the oxcarbazepine, lithium, and levecitheracetam all three? But I am starting that basically AM/PM and am feeling better.
